On Monday Wade and I celebrated 9 years! But really I have been crazy about him for a whole decade, as we dated one year before getting married. I love that guy and I love being married. The last 9 years have been pretty awesome. Because I was married so young , me at19 and he at 21, we have been able to grow so much together and have done everything together. We did college together, we bought our first house together and cars and traveled and have been poor through school and have had trials and family stress and moves and starting new careers and children and starting new lives each time we have moved-all together. (sorry for the poorly constructed sentence :)
It's been a wild ride but I am sticking on this ride forever because it's a good one.
Wade and I work well together. We have the same ideas and goals and our views line up together. We both balance each other out really really well which is why our marriage for the most part is easy going and I think it's why we have three very well behaved, good kids. Wade definitely brings out the best in me and I appreciate that. :) Recently I have been reflecting on our growth over the years. We get along so much better and we have both matured a lot. I have become more relaxed and easy going and he has gotten more uptight and feisty--haha we rubbed off on each other and he got the short end of the stick! :) We love each other more now then we ever have before so that is a blessing. It's that way because we have grown closer to our Savior together as a couple.
August 12th is one of my most favorite days of the year. Every year I look through my wedding pictures. I loved everything about my wedding and I love reflecting back to that day. It seems crazy that we are approaching 10 years. Time is just flying right by us.
To celebrate we sent our kids over to our neighbors and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It's one of my favorites. Wade was so good to me and forced me to order an 11 dollar appetizer that just I would eat. I love...more like obsessed with... the avocado egg roles and he is allergic to avo so just I ate it. I felt guilty ordering an expensive app but he took care of me, plus he ordered me the raspberry lemon cheesecake for dessert. And for dinner I got a yummy Chinese Chicken Salad and he got some huge pasta dish. We took the desert to go and headed home to get the kids in bed (Brooklyn had testing this week and I wanted her to go to bed before 830). So we just watched the Country Music festival and ate our cheesecake and had such a great night. Wade also surprised me with a message- I will be going to get that soon- and he bought me an automatic start system for my Tahoe. It's a pretty great gift considering how miserable it is sometimes to load three kids into the car in this blazing heat. Now I can hit a button when I walk out of the store and the car with me blasting with AC.
So that was our day and those are some of my thoughts about the last 9 years.
Next year is TEN! We will be celebrating by going to Spain! We are planning on picking up my sister from her mission so we are going to travel over there, visit a few countries and then head to Madrid to pick her up! I so hope the stars align and we can make that happen with someone to watch our kids, a good time for Wade to leave work, money, ect. But that's our plan!
