Weston for a little while there was pretty awful. He and I were just battling non-stop and it was exhausting me. And I am sure him too. He's an arguer and a thinker and can make some pretty mature comments. Him and I battle sometimes. I almost felt like I liked him a lot less and that isn't a great feeling. One night I planned a little mommy/son time. We just needed to get out and enjoy each other and try to start fresh. It was fun and I love one on one time with him. He's a great conversationalist.
The weather this spring was yummy. Our parks here are to die for. So green and beautiful and there are tons of them. One of my most favorite Saturdays we spent cleaning the house in the morning and then we packed a lunch and took it to the park. The kids just played for awhile and it was beautiful out. I wasn't particularly very comfortable being so pregnant and sitting on the blanket. That part was miserable. After the park we headed downtown to the Children's Museum we have passes to. We had so much fun watching the kids play. We also had so much fun just talking to each other and I remember laughing a lot together. Once we were done there, we got some dinner. Just a nice relaxing day as a family.
I'm not pregnant as I write this and this picture kind of makes me sad I'm not growing that baby anymore. My first three pregnancies I loved. This last one I hated from the time it started. I was so miserable and uncomfortable and my back was a total nightmare.
My kids and I love browsing Target and then grabbing lunch at the target cafe.
Brooklyn and I did a girls day one Saturday. I tell ya, that little Brooklyn makes me a happy mom.
Wade was giving a talk in church (that he totally rocked) and I really needed help with Ryan. Sitting about drove me crazy because of my back. I glanced over at Brooklyn and noticed she was reading to him. I hadn't asked her to help me out during Sacrament, but she just knew and occupied him the whole time, which meant I got to enjoy all of Wade's talk.
St. Patrick's Day!
Wade is loving his job. Thankfully so far most of his clients he truly believes are innocent. He is a defense lawyer for this assignment so that becomes a little challenging when you are working with alleged criminals. Wade is really good at what he does and loves working in the military. His job is really flexible too. He kind of goes in whenever usually by 830 and then comes home around 5.
We have one year left on our military assignment and then our 4 year commitment will be up. I think we are probably going to stay in but we agreed that we will always see what's out there before we recommit. Exciting stuff.
We are really loving Spokane. We live in a gorgeous area with so many trees. It is so green. I haven't ever lived anywhere remotely green so this is complete heaven to me. I'm really not sure if I could go back to the desert.
Weston did exceptionally well transitioning to a new school and a new class. He makes friends really easy and isn't afraid to join a group or meet someone new. He also did really well academically too. He's a very bright kid. His brain works just like is dads'. Lucky kid!
Ryan got his first salon haircut a few months ago and totally loved it. He sits through perfectly still and actually asks me if he can go get his hair cut. I think he likes the lolly pop at the end :)
Brooklyn has some impeccable style and fashion sense. She picks out the cutest clothes. And is really creative. Sometimes with kids that can be scary to see what creative outfits they come up with, but not for her. She dresses so cute. It also helps that I buy cute clothes for her to wear ;)
This was school picture day.
Oh Ryan. Have I ever mentioned Ryan's temper? Eek. He has one. When he is mad he is known to slame his door shut and go throw himself on the floor. Here he thought he could hide from me. He HATES having his diaper changed. You'd think he'd get used to it after 2 years but he hasn't. It drives Wade and I NUTS!
Took Brooklyn to see Cinderella. What a cute movie.
Ugh my tummy just looks really chubby and not pregnant. Ha. I was very pregnant here and I wanted to document me cuddling with my 2.5 boys.
I had a few weeks left here! Side views are much more appealing then a front on view :)
