Harlem Globetrotters

Yesterday we had a good MLK day. Wade was of course off and we just lazed around until Wade had to go and work at Lawlor. We both actually work there. We usually work the UNR basketball games. We really only do this so we can watch the games for free. Our positions are right on the sides of the court so we love it! Anyway yesterday the Harlem Globetrotters came to Reno. Wade was chosen to work this event, so me, Brooklyn, Macy and two of her friends went to the event! It was fun! Waaaayyyy to corny, but the things they can do are amazing. One player jumped over the ref and then dunked it! Brooklyn had fun, the only problem was that she peed through her pants! Not cool!

This is Brooklyn clapping for the team. Wade was working in the position right behind the team so we got these amazing front row seats. Brooklyn loved watching them.
The team.

Wade made out with this spot. The spot is usually mine at the real games. We must be their favorites because they always give us the best positions. After the game Wade, Brooks and I got some pizza and then came home to watch American Gladiators! Wade loves the dumb show:)

Christmas Cookie Time

I have been dying to decorate cookies and we finally did the other night. It was a lot of fun. Wade made me the deal that he would decorate them with me as long as we could watch Family Man(Wade's all time favorite movie) while we decorate. It was so much fun and helped me get into the Christmas feeling, which I have been lacking lately.

Wade did this one. If you look closely at the bottom one you can see that he decorated the plate too! It was pretty cute. Some of the other ones he decorated were weird, but this one was cute!

Macy and Wade working pretty hard!

Me working even harder! J/K

"TA-DAH" They turned out cute and were really yummy. My favorite part of the cookie is the cinnamon candy on them. I only like sugar cookies when they are really decorated. I hate plain sugar cookies.

It was pretty fun.

Fun filled weekend with lots of snow

We had a great weekend. It was a very busy weekend. It started with Thursday when I went to our R/S Christmas Party. It was a lot of fun. It was a progressive dinner at some of the women's homes. I love going to others peoples homes and checking out their decorations. It was fun. Friday we had Wade's work Christmas party at his bosses million dollar home. It was amazing to go there for dinner. Plus it was just Wade and I, so that was fun. Saturday we all went Christmas shopping for 5 hours. Wade was a great shopping buddy. We got a lot done and had fun. Then we had our friends Christmas party to go to. We left Brooks with Macy and had a fun night at the party! The weekend was busy but so much fun.

Brooklyn has discovered that her gums feel good when she rubs them against the bottom of the coffee table. It must be a nice cold sensation, cuz now she is doing this all the time!

YAY for the snow we got late Thursday night! It was so beautiful outside. I love the snow. Of course I had to bundle Brooklyn up and take her out in her first snow experience. Hmmm... she didn't seem to care about it. This picture is WAY cute of her though. She pretty much just stared at the dogs as they played in it.

I had to end up showing her the snow, because she didn't seem to notice it. This looks is cute too! She was trying to figure out what it was. She tried grabbing it but the snow suit was too big that she couldn't move in it! Once she did get her hand up, she didn't like how cold it was. She she started to fuss, that was my cue that we were done playing in the snow.

This was her as I plopped her down. This picture is hilarious. She looks like a beached seal. She didn't think this was too funny. She wanted out of the thing.

This was Wade and I before our Friday night Christmas party. The wet spot on his sweater is his cologne. Guess he put a lot on:) He did smell really good though!

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

I have already posted about the weekend and what we did, but I I forgot some. First of all, Winter's visit was a blast. Her roommate Jessica was great, we all loved her! We hope she comes again, but with how crazy we are, we understand if she doesn't!! :)

I loved spending my last 4 days with Wade being off from work and spending good quality time as a family. Lots of football was watched and lots of card games were played. It was so fun:) I am sad that Wade had to go back to work today. But 3 more weeks and Wade is off for 2 and 1/2 weeks. Wahoo!

Brooklyn in her cute Turkey day outfit! It was even cuter in person! She was a good girl all weekend. Little fussy from teething but still a cutie.
Thanksgiving Day night my mom and I looked at all the store ads. Well Brooklyn did too I guess! She had the time of her life playing and ripping all the paper. She actually went CrAzY! She was screaming and laughing and being all cute!
Brooklyn got this doll from a family friend. My family makes fun of it, but Brooklyn LOVES it! She talks to it, eats the arms and bangs it all over!
She also has found a new love for this basketball. She found it in Reilly's room and has loved it ever since.
I also regretfully never once posted what I am thankful for this Holiday. Now I still have a chance!
I am soooo grateful first and foremost for the True Living Gospel in my life. I know the church is true and know my Savior Lives.
I am grateful for August 12, 2004. That day I married the guy I always wanted and the perfect man for me. I love him and am soooo grateful for our love and our friendship.
I am grateful for the rest of my wonderful family. They do so much for us and I could not thank them enough.
I love my in laws. I was telling someone yesterday that I was kinda sad that Christmas was away for me this year, but how incredibly THANKFUL I am to spend my Christmas with an equally good family. Not everyone loves their in laws...but I do and am blessed.
I am grateful for Wade's job. He has been so successful already and has allowed me to be a stay at home mom. I am very grateful for that.
Lastly I am grateful the how beautiful the trees have been looking. If you know me you know that I love trees.
I am also thankful for my friends.
That is not even all of it, but the main things I am grateful for.

Our Family Trip

Aug. 4th through Aug. 11th we were in Utah and Idaho. Macy, Brooklyn and I headed out first to Utah to see Winter and to drop Macy off at BYU for EFY. We drove all the way to Provo. Brooklyn was awesome in the car, never fussed once:) Once we were there we got to stay at her appartment and meet her really neat roommates. I really liked them. Through the weekend we went shopping, ate at lots of cool places, and just spent time with Winter. We had a blast! Witner has been missing Brooklyn so much, so Winter enjoyed every minute with Brooklyn. We miss Winter like CrAzY:)
Winter and Brooklyn at the University MAll.Winter and Brooklyn in her apartment pool. It was a half indoor half outdoor pool, so Brooklyn loved the shaded part.
This is the famous Cody, Winters' friend. He met us at lunch at the Pizza Factory. If we had it our way Cody would be in our family pictures! Winter gets mad when we talk like that!
I love this picture of me and my sisters. She attends a University ward at BYU. It is weird cuz her chapel is in a chemistry classroom. I have never heard of such a thing. Anyway, this is us outside the building after church.

This is my most favorite picture of Brooklyn. This was at Wades' parents house. Jenna needed a picture to develop and put in her wallet. I think this picture will be a good " I have a cute granddaughter" picture. Of course along side Addisons' picture. Jenna has the two cutest granddaughters ever!!!!

I need to blog the rest of our trip. Wade met up with us a couple of days later, and we headed up to Pocatello, Yellowstone and then back to Utah to pick up Macy and spend a little more time with Winter. I will blog that later, when I have more time.

4th of July

Our family went to Lake Tahoe for the 4th. Brooklyn loved the water, even though I got in and thought it was freezing! She loves the water, whether it is warm or cold. Anyway we had a lot of fun. These pictures were taken towards the end of the day. I have a lot of cute pictures from the same day, but I cannot find my adaptor to put them on my computer. Bummer man! These pics. are from Macys' camera. I will blog more when I find the stupid adaptor.
Brooklyn is getting pretty big, still super tiny for her age, but she is getting big! She is totaly interacting with us, she grabs EvErYtHiNg and puts it in her mouth. She is almost giggling, she is trying so hard. I bet this week she will! I say that every week though!

Happy Fathers Day

This was Wades' first Fathers' Day. I put Brooklyn in this onsie and Wade
loved it. Wade had a really great day. He absolutely loves being Brooklyns'
Daddy, and Brooklyn loves being his little girl. Brooklyn has her dad
written all over her. I am not sure she has any of me in her:(

Family picture on Fathers' Day. Macy tried taking this picture about 20
times. One of us always looked funky, this was the best one!

This is my most favorite look that Brooklyn does. I think she is so cute!About two or three weeks ago she started standing. Now if she isn'tstanding she gets all mad. I asked the doctor the other day if it was ok that she stood so much, cuz everyone told me she was too young to be standing. Dr. Clark said some kids have a crave for standing, and Brooklyn really does. When she stands she does this Bobble Head thing, and we always get a kick out of that. She thinks she is soo big. WE LOVE IT!

Family Photos 2006

Wade and I got the opportunity to help some college photographers build their portfolio. It was a lot of fun and I really liked the result. They took about 150 pics, and almost all were really good! I had a hard time choosing which ones to post. I am sad that our little Brooklyn is not in them now that our family has expanded past Wade, me and the doggie, but next time Brooklyn will be in them! I know this is from 2006, but I had to put up some family photos.

Mr. & MrS. IvErSoN

WaDe looks like he could be in a magazine, well if you ask me!

I think we make a cute couple!
