These last few months Wade and I have really noticed that Brooklyn is really interested in the potty. So every time we changed her diaper she would ask to go potty. For awhile nothing ever happened, but we didn't want to discourage her from sitting on the potty. About a month ago she actually randomly went pee on the potty. Of course, she got MUCH praise and she really got excited seeing my reaction. So as of today she has gone pee NINE TIMES. She now knows exactly what to do and the last 4 times in 2 days she has gone. We notice even if she doesn't need to go, she will try and push so hard to get something out. That is because she gets a little treat when she goes pee :) Wade and I decided that we would not try and truly potty train her until she understood the whole concept. Well what do ya know??? She now totally gets it! After we get back from our week long trip to Vegas, we will be buying some little girl under ware and we will start this business!
We will let you know how it goes, but as for now...we are SOOOOO excited:) My number 1 goal before Ivy Baby gets here is to have her potty trained.

awesome goal! that is one blessing that I count in my life...I have never had two kids in diapers at the same time...woohoo!!
funny how it is the GREATEST thing to have your kid go potty in the toilet isn't it??
YEAHHHH!!! Congratulations - going diaperless is a huge help! M&Ms were our treat of choice.
Once they figured out the potty training thing, one of my kids had a fetish with public restrooms. No matter where we were, they HAD to go potty, not because they had to, but because it was so fun for them to check out the restroom. Go figure...
Good for you Brooklyn!
OK..I'm sooo jealous. My little boy is going to be 5 before he's potty trained. CONGRATS!!! (as I drop another 100 dollars on diapers-sheesh!!). Shanna
Isn't that the happiest day? I LOVE when they finally figure it out and the potty training woes finally pass. Good job Brooklyn!
What a momentous occassion. Congrats!
