9/11

I have lived in Lubbock for over 2 years now. Can anyone else believe that?We had never noticed before but this year as we were driving on the freeway we noticed that at one of the parks they had tons of flags. Someone at church told us they were for all the 3000 people that died on 9/11. We thought that was so amazing so on 9/11 we decided to go and take pics and walk through the flags. It is a really humbling experience.

Walking through the flags was really really sad. I think it is so cool that Lubbock does this. Texas would definitely do something like this though, such a great patriotic state. Anyway, seeing them from the car and actually being down there and realizing that each flag represented a life lost on 9/11 was quite different. I am glad I could pay respect in that way.

Of course we used it as an opportunity to snap some pictures too.

I really love this guy. He has his major JAG interview on Friday. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Should find out next month.

My mom wanted a pic with her grandbabies and I think they turned out really cute. This is just one, but they were all cute.

Tons more pictures to come.

That's awesome! I wish I would have known! Sandy (in Utah where we lived before here) did that and we went every year and I was so sad I wasn't going to be able to go. I'm so glad to know Lubbock does it! Good luck to Wade! I'm sure he will do great!!!
