Alll in the same day...

December 21st started off extremely well. At 7 am while still in bed, Wade gets a phone call. We had been waiting for this phone call. It was the Air force calling to tell Wade he HAD been selected in the JAG program. We couldn't believe it! I ran out of the room screaming, "WE GOT HIRED!!!! " It was seriously such a blessing. It made it even sweeter because this had been our 3rd time applying. I never blogged about how Wade was not selected 2 different times prior. We were shocked and couldn't believe that he hadn't been selected. So this time around applying we were definitely aware of the possibility that JAG may not be our career course and that meant having to start the crappy process of trying to find a firm job. The market for attorney's right now is really bad. So now we have a job!!!

JAG was our first choice in a career. Wade wants to be in a court room and most attorney's wait years to step foot in a trial. With the JAG, Wade will be in a court room the first month (or so we are told). We feel incredibly blessed. We really do. I spent the next few hours after receiving that call, silently thanking my Heavenly Father for providing for us and for the wonderful early Christmas gift. I will never be able to describe the relief that came with that phone call. I knew Wade was good enough to get in, but the competition in the JAG world and firm world in so insanely competitive. I am really excited and very nervous and have some anxiety about all of this though. Mostly, I feel blessed and relieved. Every thing else will come together!

Me and my 3 favorite people.

After our phone call, and call to all of our family and best friends, we got ready and headed to the airport. Dec 21st. we picked up our Elder Heims from Argentina. It was so wonderful and fun. Reilly has matured, gotten smarter and turned into quite a good looking man. It was so good to see him again. His mission was extremely successful in many ways. I can't wait to see what is in store for him. I will be posting all the airport pictures once I get them. I definitely want that included in our family journal. Weston and our future sons will need to read all about our missionary.

So December 21st was a good, good day for us!

And now it is Jan 1st 2012. CRAZY! 2012 was so far away because it was the year we graduated law school. Now it is here and we are done. Here are a few things that we know for sure will take place:

Graduate in May

Move from our favorite place in the world, Lubbock

Move to an Air force Base somewhere

Start a new career

Brooklyn will start KINDERGARTEN! (WHAT???)

Weston will start pre-school

Hopefully have a baby :) Hopefully we can get pregnant a 3rd time. Seems like I haven't been pregnant in a very long time. Over 3 years ago!

Happy New Year! I have probably 10 posts I am behind on, so if you follow my blog, check back often this week! :)
