My sweet girl is 6

My baby girl is 6. This post is all about her. I hope when she reads this back when she is older that she will be able to feel all the love and joy that she brings to my life and to our family. She makes being a mom the easiest job on the planet. I adore this little girl and love her more then any way I could ever express. She was created pretty perfectly. Love you little lady!

Brooklyn, you are smart. You go above and beyond in school. You are reading and writing at about a second grade reading level. You excel in almost every subject. We are proud of how hard you work in school and how much you love it. I hope that continues! Your teacher absolutely adores you, but really Brooklyn...who doesn't adore you? You are like your daddy...everyone loves you.

Last Saturday was her big day and she started out the day walking down the stairs to some of her presents! We had a big day planned with lots of plans. We love birthdays in this house :)

We skyped with SheShe and Grampa and they watched her open her presents.

Brooklyn loves loves fashion and is very conscious about what is cute and what isn't. She puts together cute outfits and has amazing stlye. I wouldn't be surprised if she became a fashion designer one day.  

Wade is such a cute dad (I know I say that all the time, but he really is). Brooklyn requested pancakes on her bday and Wade made them extra special by using cookie cutters to make them into cute shapes and then dyed them pink. She LOVED it :)

 After breakfast we hurried and got ready for her soccer game and after that we had her recital pictures for dance.

Brooklyn, you are a sweet sweet little girl. You have a heart of gold and are always thinking and putting others first. You don't have a mean bone in your body and you are nice and kind to every one you meet. I look up to you in that way. Not many people are like you and that's something very special. I wish I were more like you Brooklyn.

She scored three goals during her soccer game. She is quite the little player on the field. Here she is so reserved, mature and a tad on the shy side(until you get to know her and she will talk your ear off:) and she gets on the field and lets loose! We have always worried about her not being competitive enough and not aggressive enough. Well she sure proved us wrong this season in soccer. It's like something clicked. Before she was in la la land the whole time and now she is an animal :) She is awesome on defense too!

Besides soccer, swim and dance (those are the three activities she is in right now) she really really enjoys and spends most of her free time doing some sort of art project. She definitely has a passion for art.

Brooklyn, even at an early age you know the church is true. You have a testimony and its growing all the time. You love to share your own testimony at church on fast Sundays. You get up there all on your own and  give the sweetest testimony. I think you are just like me and will never doubt it and will always be a solid, firm, devoted member of the church. Not much can shatter our beliefs. Your dad is that way too. Thank you for the reminders to say our family prayers. You are such an example and we love it.

This girl means business.

She also means business when it comes to following the rules. Brooklyn does not stray from the rules. She is fiercely obedient. The other day she had hot lunch and I asked her what she got to drink...milk or choco milk. She said she got reg milk because that was the healthy choice and she thought that's what I would want her to do. What kid thinks about that? Brooklyn does, because she loves to make good choices. I tell ya she is so close to perfection.

After the game we ate cup cakes and we all sang to her. Look at her...she is so shy and awkward :)  I actually don't know if I would call her shy but I can't think of a better word to describe how she is. I guess maybe reserved..but yet she is so chatty. I don't know. But sometimes she is awkward :)

After dance pictures we headed to MCD. She wouldn't have it any other way! She loves her happy meals. Then we headed home real quick and then to a base Easter egg hunt and bowl with the Easter bunny. Not sure why they did it a week after Easter but whatevs it was so fun! 

 Brooklyn, you are hands down the best big sister I have ever seen. These two boys are very blessed to have to as their big sis. You know how to take care of them. You love them and it shows. You and Weston are the bestest of friends. You get along wayyyyy more then you fight and that is pretty unique. You are such a little mommy to Ryan Roo too! Thanks for your help with the baby. It's been a life saver...especially when I need a little nap on the couch and you feed him! :)

 Brooklyn has legs for days. She is gunna be gorgeous and I am pretty sure I am gunna have to fight the boys  away from her!

Speaking of boys, she is crazy boy crazy. Always has been too. She always has boys that she says she is going to marry. The other day when I asked her the best part of her school day she replied by saying"Oh just chasing the boys at recess!" Heaven help me!

So after all the Easter fun her and I went and got pedicures. We both love them :) It was nice to just relax in the chair and chat with each other. She is so darling and it's so fun to have girl time with her. 

Brooklyn, this picture sums you right up. You and your brother love more then any other kids I know. One thing that you are your brother are obsessed with right now are all the Disney shows like Jessie, Good luck Charly, ect. How are you old enough to like those shows? You two could watch them all day long if I let ya. Crazy kiddies!

Had to get a ride or two in on your new scooter. You are a determined little thing and won't stop until you achieve your goal. Just like your daddy. Love that!

We went to her favorite restaurant for dinner. Olive Garden is her very fav :)

Then when we got home daddy surprised her with a guitar. She has been wanting and wanting one. She thinks she already knows how to play it :)

So that's the way we spent your 6th bday. Brooklyn you are my favorite girl and if I could be more like you I would be golden. You are just so lovely and darling and perfect. Love you little lady! Happy Birthday!
