Life just keeps getting busier at the Iverson Home. Two kids in school, one busy baby, 2 extremely busy church callings (I am in the RS presidency and Wade is the ward mission leader), 2 kids on different soccer teams, home work, Wade's VERy busy legal office, helping out in Brooklyn's class room, play dates, Wride family vists, Zumba 3 days a week...it's so busy over here. I really love it busy though. Makes life fun, productive and exciting but also exhausting!
How about an update on the day to day life. That's really the most important stuff to document, I think.
My mom was just here for a visit, which I will update next, but while she was here she got these awesome pictures of Brooklyn modeling in the store window. I say I am in trouble for sure!
Brooklyn is doing really well in school. First grade is much different then Kinder. It's hard work! You should see her Friday folder she brings home with all the stuff she did through the week. She is a busy girl at school. She is at the top of her class academically. Charter schools test the kids quarterly to see where they are at and compare them to their peers. If they are scoring much higher they will bump them to the next grade for that subject or if they scoring all around at a 2nd grade level they will bump them to second. We really love that approach in education- teaching them/allowing them to learn at their level. Brooklyn is no where near being bumped to 2nd but she is testing higher then most first graders. She get's that from Wade. Smarty pants!
Oh this sweet boy. He gets really scared by scary sounds. I purposefully make weird scary noises so that he will make these precious little faces. I know, it mean, but it's sooooo cute! That sweet little lip that quivers. Oh this kid is so perfect, I can't even tell you.
Baby food for both boys! Yum. Fruity baby food is yummy. Ryan is a great eater and loves it all.
Ryan after church. Cute cute boy!
He just got his first two teeth this week. He is 6.5 months and the biggest lover. He started crawling yesterday! Oh dear.
This boy loves to hold his bottle with his feet too. It's funny. He is always always moving. He can't just lay there and drink a bottle. He has to be moving his legs, thrusting around ect. He is going to keep my verrrry busy!
The kids have had major colds the last two weeks. It's been no fun. On Sunday night the boys cuddled with me for awhile and I soaked up every little moment of it.
This doesn't look like a boy who is napping- like he should have been. He sleeps in his bed in the boys room but naps down stairs in my room. He is TOTALLY outgrowing his bassinet. This week I think we should take it down. Plus we got some new bed room furniture (for free- and it's beautiful) and I want to decorate my room and get it Ryan free. Since we have a two story, and I am too lazy to go up and down a million times, we have just had all of his stuff in our room. And it has taken over our room. Time for it to be kid free again!
Brooklyn had to read an entire book to her class this last week. So she practiced on the cutest boy around. He is actually a pain to read to because he tries to attack the pages and eat them.
Oh this sight makes a mama very happy!
Weston has got to be the worlds best helper. He is always willing to help out whether it's a fun job like dishes-my kids love dishes, or un fun jobs like putting away laundry, Weston does them with a smile on his face. Wade is a great helper too. Love that guy so much.
You know what has been and will always be my most favorite sight? Looking back in the car and seeing my kids at this age stare up at me. All three have done it and it's about my most favorite thing ever. I don't know why but it's so cute to look back and see that cute face stretched up to see me. So happy I got a good picture of it so I can remember it forever.
This week we went to Winter's and swam and made home made jam. It's so incredibly awesome having my sister here.
Oh my sweet girl who I just adore. She is the icing on the cake for this family. As sweet and polite as she is, she is SOOOO boy crazy. She told me the other day, "Mom, I am crushing on a new boy named Crue now. He is a Mormon and so I am totally going to marry him." She also spends most of her recess time chasing boys. And she told me that she pretends to kiss the two boys in her class that she has "crushes" on. She assures me that she would never "really kiss" them but just pretends until she is older. Yeah, I nipped the pretending to kiss boys in the butt.
Love this family of mine!
