Macy wrote me an email after my birthday telling me she realized I am almost out of my twenties and that "wowzee you are really, really old". I'm feeling it too. I am the counselor over the Mia Maids at church and we had a movie night this week. I popped in You've Got Mail and the girls hadn't ever even heard of the movie, thought it was seriously out dated and made fun of it the whole time. That right there made me feel VERY old. I love that movie- it's one of my faves!
Here's my birthday recap!
We are total besites, her and I. I can't tell you how much I love having her as my sidekick. It's really fun that she's old enough to be my friend now. It just keeps getting better and better, this life.
The day before my birthday, my AF friends took me to lunch. I introduced them to the amazing world of Cafe Rio. Yumm!
May 3rd was a great day. And it always is :) We woke up and headed to the kids soccer games. Then we came home and I opened presents! My parents were here staying with us. It was a lot of fun getting to celebrate my birthday with them.
After soccer we headed to get pedi's. It's become and bday tradition around here.
Weston and Wade came too but I couldn't convince Wade to get one. He's lame :) Weston on the other hand wanted to soak his feet and relax so he hopped onto my chair for awhile.
He loves anything that feels good. I think he is going to beg to come with me and Brooklyn next time.
We did some shopping and then headed to a JAG pool party.
We met Pete and Jenny at PF Changs for dinner. Brooklyn practiced her waitress skills.
After dinner and after a little more shopping, my new YW presidency surprised me at Yogurtini. What really made me happy was that they all had known me for maybe a week(ward split so we were a brand new ward) and went out at 930pm on a Saturday night and surprised me. How NICE!
Wade got me an ipad air. I love it!
A few days later my mom rounded up a few of my friends and we met at Cheesecake factory for dessert. I had the lemon raspberry cheesecake. Holy yum.
Such a fun group.
Hopefully this year is great! I am so excited for my thirties, I can't even tell you!
