Enjoy the picture overload.
My kids had their Christmas programs and they were both so darling. Brooklyn played an instrument during one of the songs, and Weston had a speaking part. I so love being a mom. This is the best gig in the world.
In the beginning of December my family watched the big kids and Wade and I took Ryan up to Washington to house hunt.
And this is the house we found. It's built in 1917 has 4.5 bedrooms. The house is awesome. It's got a crazy amount of old charm and a ton of modern renovations. It's a total gem. Our neighborhood is dreamy- more on all of that later.
A few days after we got back from our house hunting trip, Macy came home from Spain. We missed her beyond words and were so excited to see her.
As a family we hit up the Christmas lights at the Mesa Temple.
Heims GIRLS!
December was a total mad house of business. Not only were we prepping for a move, Christmas, Macy coming home, tons of church responsibilities, I also volunteered to put on Brooklyn's school Christmas party. It was simple but darling and the kids loved it!
Christmas in Arizona was funny. It was in the 60's and 70's but are filled with tons of festivities- better then anywhere I've ever lived.
Oh man I love these girls. I'm missing them.
I love this growing family. We have the very best time. So thankful for easy going kids and an awesome hubby. I count my blessings every day.
Baby BOY #3 is coming May 26th.
Ryan Roo and I did some last minute Christmas shopping a few days before Christmas. He spotted this snowman and wanted a picture. I totally adore this kid. He's a great shopping buddy...most of the time.
I hosted Christmas Eve. We caroled at the Assisted Living center (a 2nd annual tradition that we are going to keep doing) then we came home and ate a fancy dinner. After, we opened sibling gifts and sprinkled reindeer food. So so grateful to live next to family so we could all celebrate Christmas together.
December 29th we took this Birthday Grandpa out for a pizza lunch. I really really miss my dad. I loved living near him.
Pregnant sisters. We are 12 weeks apart. So fun. And we are both having boys!!
3627 Zuni was so good to us. First on base house. We had a lot of fun in that house. The week we cleaned and actually moved out, I also had two wisdom teeth surgeries and dry sockets....all while pregnant. It was a rough week. After we moved out of our house we still lived in AZ for about 2 weeks. We lived in temporary housing on base for 5 days and then hung out with my parents for a week. It was all such a whirlwind and so emotional.
My sweet friend threw me a going away/diaper party a few days before we left. I left feeling loved.
The day we rolled out. It was so emotional and such a rough goodbye.
This was taken on our road trip. We slowly made our way up to Washington. We stopped in Vegas to See Grandma Slade for visit and then went on to Cedar City to stay the night and spent the next day with Macy.
We visited my most favorite temple in St. George. It was the first temple I entered as a new 12 year old. I remember it still to this day and it's always been so special to me. I would have been married there but getting both sides of our families to Southern Utah was a ridiculous idea. I am happy we chose Oakland :)
Brooklyn and her besite.
Nothing is better then visiting a temple with your family. So thankful that temples dot the earth and are so beautiful.
Families are FOREVER.
We stopped in the visitors center and watched a cool video.
We also found our way to a Port of Subs for lunch too. yum.
We did the tour through Brigham Young's winter house. Most everything was original. So so neat. This was his bedroom.
This very chair was actually built by Hyrum Smith. It felt so surreal to see it and know that his hands built such a beautiful chair.
So after Cedar we headed to Provo, UT to visit our friends. Then we made our way up to Boise. More on the rest of that later. I think this is a good start to getting caught up.
