Oh how the time has gone by

The last few weeks I have been talking with my good friend Marissa Jarrett who is about to have her first baby. She has been asking me all kinds of questions from good advice to good products. Our emails have made me think back to me becoming a mom and how excited I was. I loved being pregnant even though I was on bed rest for 11 weeks. I loved my belly and I loved the whole experience. I started this blog a few months after Brooklyn was born, so I never got to post any of the first few days of Brooklyn's life. Now that it is almost a year later, looking back, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Those first few days were beautiful, amazing, overwhelming and so crazy. It seems like forever ago that she was this tiny. I honestly cannot remember this stage. She stayed so tiny for so long. She didn't even reach 10 pounds until she was a month and a half old. She was born at 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 inches long.
Well, here are some pictures of the first few days. And b/c I never posted any, I might be posting more like these so that I have them for the future.

This was the moment right when the Doctor gave me my little baby girl. I LOVE the look on Wade's face. It is priceless.
Here is me and Brooklyn. I have this picture framed in her room and I absolutely love it. The minute Brooklyn was given to me, she stared at me for like 3 minutes with her big blue eyes. She did not close them or look at anything else. That was one of the greatest moments of my life. It is like she knew exactly who I was.
I want this again:( I loved the first few days and weeks. So much to learn and so much to love.
I cannot believe that this is Brooklyn. She looks so old and grown up now. Beautiful then and beautiful now, but what a difference.
This is funny. For months while I was on bed rest I thought about the outfit I would buy to bring Brooklyn home in. So I went to the GAP and bought this outfit. I spent way too much on it too. I thought she was going to be this huge baby and turns out she was just a tiny little peanut and this outfit totally drowned her. I ended up having to take her home in just the onsie. I love this picture. I remember Wade and I just laughing at how this outfit looked on her. She actually did not fit into these pants until she was like 3-4 months old and it was summer time. Oh well.
Also, can you believe how alert and open her eyes are? Most babies do not open their eyes very much the first few days. This is how Brooklyn was from the minute she came out of me.
***That was so fun to remember***
