Recap of My Day!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was great! I think I may record this one as one of the best birthdays I have had in awhile! I am in Utah and don't have my camera chord to upload my wonderful pictures from the day, but I have to post because I don't want to forget anything that I need to journal about. Warning this is going to be a long post!
I woke up feeling kind of bummed. I don't want to publically say why that was I have just been bummed since I have been here. But then I remembered that this was a day for me and I needed to enjoy it! Wade's grandma made me breakfast...it was just what I wanted and then I opened my gifts. Wade got me a very special gift. He knows me and knows that I will spend tons of money on him for holidays, but when it comes to him buying for me I get really stressed about money. So this whole last year he has been saving money for a big gift for me. I told him I really wanted to go to the mall and get some new clothes. My body is shaped so differently after having Brooklyn, so I just wanted some new clothes. Well I opened up the card and there was a huge wad of cash wating for me to burn at the mall. I thought that was so sweet and really thoughtful that he would save that money. If it were coming out of our bank acct. I would have barely spent anything, so this was the best gift! Brooklyn got me a frame that has my favorite quote in it...Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening...I cannot remember the rest right now. That is horrible:( Wade's grandparents got me a card and a Sister Hinkley little book. Very sweet!
We then headed off to meet Winter at the Valley Fair Mall. We shopped for a few hours...Wade was a great shopping buddy, and Winter just played with Brooklyn. We even had some frozen yogurt, which I have been craving. We then headed to the SLC Temple. One of my favorite things is to take pictures of Brooklyn and such, so I wanted to go and enjoy the beautiful grounds and take pics. We took a TON of pictures. This is my favorite part of the day. Brooklyn loved throwing pennies in the fountain and stopped by every little kid and said hi to them. So CUTE! I cannot express how much fun I had there! The tulips were unreal. I just cannot believe how gorgeous it is right now with all the flowers and brides everywhere!
I have been wanting to go to the Beehive house, so we took a tour there. I had been there like 10 years ago, so it was a fun reminder. After that we headed to Provo and dropped Brooklyn off at Winter's and headed to Tacono's (SP?) It is an all you can eat meat place...I am obsessed with meat...I LOVE it. It was the perfect birthday dinner. We then went home.
I was so happy to spend my birthday with my sister and my hubby. Brooklyn was a little cranky, but she was so much fun as she walked around the mall and the temple grounds. I felt so loved yesterday and I wish the day had never ended!
Thank you to everyone who called me or left bday wishes for me, I had the greatest bday. And I am going to Park City tomorrow for those of you who left that advice. I cannot wait!

Greg was a waiter at Tucano's for almost a year. He smelled bad...like meat all night. But he made great tips! I mean hey...meat is expensive! Glad you liked it and had a great birthday! I loved shopping at Park City. When Greg worked long nights, I would drive to Park City to hit up the gap and old navy. He would get soooo mad at me...but the drive through the Canyons was worth it. Just beautiful!
