Yesterday Wade and I celebrated our 4 huge years of marriage. August 12 is my favorite day of the year. It represents my Eternal Love and Committment to Wade. I feel especially loved every August 12th. It was so fun thinking about what I was doing at that time 4 years ago. I was joking with my mom and said, "well 4 years ago at this time I was kneeling across the alter and 4 years later at this time, I am scouring a bathroom!"
These last few years have definetely been very successful. I feel like I have the best marriage and the greatest partner to walk through this life with. We have been very blessed as well. We have accomplised a lot together. We have bought our first home, bought 2 cars, had 9 career promotions between both of us, traveled everywhere either by cruise ship or car, stayed very active in our faith, seen 3 sibilings get married to 3 great guys, graduated college, made some amazing friendships and most important importantly we have brought the most beautiful girl we have layed eyes on into this earth.
We have also been through a few set backs and major disappointments. There have been things that have definetely tested our faith in eachother and our marrige, but I can honestly say that we held on to eachother and gotten through it. We have cried together many times, well mostly me crying and Wade taking me into my arms, but hey! We have done everything together. We have the greatest communication and the best understanding of each other. We talk on the phone at least 10 times a day, and we both love every minute of it! We definitely were made for each other. I cannot even imagine what the next 4 years will bring.
Now to the fun stuff. Yesterday Wade planned a great date. He took me to Red Lobster and then told me his present to me was a trip to the mall where each of us were going to pick out an outfit for each other, no matter the cost, and we had no say in picking out our own outfit. Then we had to model it for each other. He also got me a beautiful vase and a BEAUTIFUL card. I got him a golf bag!
*Please excuse the lame self promotion, but this is my journal and I want to remember this really fun, very meaningful night!
Wade got lobster and shrimp! He loved it!
Also please excuse my nasty hair. My straightener broke yesterday, and if you know me you know my hair without a straightener...Lion head! I got crab, salmon and shrimp. It was to die for!
We went to the mall and Wade picked out some really good outfit. He likes the sophisticated business look. I used to dress this way when I was an assistant Mngr. at BofA and then a loan officer at US Bank, so my closet is full of clothes like this. Now....Shade shirt and a pair of jeans! He picked this outfit out at New York and Co. and I did not want to try on a 100 outfit. He insisted and told me not to worry about the cost. I talked my way into going to another store to see about a similar outfit on sale. Oh....I came out of the dressing room with the white sleeves down and he told me I had to roll up the sleeves and un button the two bottom buttons of the sweater. He has such a phenomenal fashion sense! Funny huh?
Cute...but didn't make the cut!
Yep, this is what he decided on at Anne Taylor. I liked it too especially since it was 37.00! We both LOVE black and white, so this outfit is perfect. He is still a little heart broken about the expensive outfit but, I am too cheap!

He is still a little heart broken about the expensive outfit but, I am too cheap! Then we head to Banana Republic for Wade...his new favorite store! We were both tired and it was getting late so the weasel said that we should call it a night and not get him an outfit. I was sad, as that was part of the present, so we then headed to a more reasonable priced store and got him a shirt at Old Navy!
We had the greatest night from start to finish! Wade gives the best gifts and plans the best dates!
Thanks Macy for watching Brooklyn! You are the BEST ever!
