Hot August Nights and Brooklyn's Hot Rod

From Thursday until Sunday we had our really good friends Cody and Marissa here visiting us from Utah. We had such a blast the whole weekend. We ate lots of crab in San Fran, rafted down the Truckee, swam and jumped off the rocks at Lake Tahoe, showed them our lovely casinos and went to the Hot August Nights festivities! We had an absolute blast with them and miss them already! Marissa took all the pictures of our weekend and I was lame and did not, so I have to wait to get her pictures for a fun post. I did bring out the camera on Friday night when we went to see the hot rods.

Marissa made Brooklyn this adorable head band. We decided it was still too big for her now, but I had to have her wear it anyway.

We decided to go to the Grand Sierra at like 845 at night. Brooklyn goes to bed around 8 830 so I was a little stressed about how she would do out that late. Wade decided that we should take Brooklyn around in her car. Well of course we had to show off Brooklyn's Hot Rod. She LOVED it and so did EVERYONE else. We had so many comments about how awesome it was.

Here she is showing off her really clean engine. I am telling you people thought she was adorable. Wade and Cody pushed her in front of us and I could hear TONS and TONS of comments about her and her car. I love it!
This was one of my favorite cars. I am not big into classic cars, but I thought this one was cool!
And I liked this color! We had so much fun! Brooklyn lasted until about 1030. What a trooper we have!
