1 month old

So here is an update all about our little buddy. Having a boy is so different than having a girl. I am so glad that we get to experience both. So so so fun!

Can anyone else believe that he is 1 month already! Holy smokes!

We just went to the Dr. No surprise that our buddy is a peanut. Brooklyn was like this for 3 months. I guess we just have small small babies. Don't worry...they make up for it when they are older. Brooklyn is super tall already! He is one month old and doesn't even weigh 8 pounds yet. Earlier this week at the Dr. he weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces, just 3 more ounces bigger than when he was born. I love him being this small though. He is still very much the little froggie that curls up on your chest.
This particular outfit is 0-3 and I make him wear it because I am sick of preemie clothes. This outfit totally drowns him but I have cute 0-3 and 3-6 month summer clothes that are going to go to waste if I don't start putting him in them. Also, this hat was given to me by my friend. I love it but come winter time it will never fit so I tried taking pictures of him in it. It didn't go well at all. He was far too wiggly and half asleep.

See???
We give Weston a bottle once a day to keep him taking bottles. I am not one to exclusively nurse only. I need to be able to leave him and not be totally tied down. Anyway, Brooklyn gets the job of feeding him that bottle. Trust me...she LOVES it. She is so good at it too. She does it completely by herself. We put the boppy around her and set him in her lap.

Here she is reading Weston a book. I am telling you, Weston could not have hand picked a better big sister. They both are so great to each other.Weston is a great little brother in the fact that he just lets her mother him and never fusses when she gets a little too cuddly!

CHICKEN LEGS...at its finest huh? Those are some very wrinkly legs mister Weston. I guess he has some wrinkles to fill out.

Weston is awake a lot more these days. He still mostly sleeps during the day, but each day he is staying awake longer and longer. I love when he is awake. He is constantly looking around and loves when you talk to him. On that note, our little Weston LOVES to be held, swaddled, warm, and loves his bum patted. So different than Brooklyn. She just liked whatever was going on, never care to be held or wrapped. Weston on the other hand loves being cuddled. When he fusses he is immediately calmed down by us wrapping him tight in his blanket and patting his bum. I have to say I love that about him. He is such a lover!

He is still sleeping well at night. He eats every three hours and is back to bed.
Well that is it for now! My sister and brother are coming to Reno on Sunday for a whole week and I am excited:)
