2 month Dr. Appt and Lubbock

We had Weston's 2 month old appointment today. I was super anxious to see how my little guy was growing since he is so dang little. Well no surprise here:

23 1/2 in. long- 50th %
10 pounds- 25th %
Head I forget but was in the 50th %

The nurse after she weighed and measured him said, "whoa, long and lean!" The Dr. said whatever I am doing to keep doing because he is at a very healthy weight. So for all of you wondering if I feed him the answer is YES and all day long too! :)

He got his shots today and I can tell he is really hurting. Brooklyn never once had a problem with shots. I hope he starts feeling better soon. It was kind of a sad appt. today because I probably won't be going back to Dr. Clark for at least a few years. Dr. Clark was my Dr. after I had cancer when I was two years old. So I have known him my whole life practically. It is sad that I will have to find a new Dr. to take care of my kids. I really have enjoyed going there because it always reminds me of going there when I was little. His nurse Laura cried when I first went in there with Brooklyn. She remembered me and my mom from that long ago. She was amazed and happy to see me healthy and having children! Great memories there!

Anyway, we have finalized everything for Lubbock. So for those of you who have been curious, here is an update.

We found a town home to live in. I thought at first I wanted to rent a house. Since we own a home here I thought I wouldn't want to go back to an apartment. But as I was thinking about everything I realized that I need to be in a place that has other moms around, a pool, kids playing outside, playgrounds, ect. A house just doesn't have those things. With me going there not knowing anyone, I felt like I needed to be around an environment like that, especially with a pool:) So our town home is 1200sq ft, has 2 big bedrooms with a master bath and walk in closets, and a 1/2 bath down stairs. It even comes with a fire place and one chocolate brown painted wall in the living room! We have not been there yet to see it but Wade has a buddy he grew up with whose wife goes to Tech Law and he checked it out for us:) Thank you David Torres!

We move August 8th! Six weeks is all:( We have also rented out our home. It ha been such an easy process and we feel like we got a GREAT beyond GREAT renter. Wade actually went to high school with her, but they didn't know it until they saw each other. She was actually Miss Nevada a few years back. She is way cool! Hope that all works out:)

Other than that we are really looking forward to starting this new BIG FAT CRAZY adventure. I am SOOOOO sad to leave but I am going to make this adventure fun!
