Life is super crazy for us right now. We are finally in the process of figuring out our move, where we are going to live, getting school organized, funded and paid for:( We are also doing a lot of projects around the house. On the other hand we have had a lot of fun these last few weeks too. We are excited for summer to really get here so we can play at the pool and lake. We have been enjoying playing with our friends lately too! Life is really fun right now. The kids are both doing really well. Weston is still happy and content. He is still sleeping a lot. When he is awake it is such a treat. He is still a great eater. I have a blog post that I will put up later this week that involves all of his updates and some cute pictures.
Here are some pictures of last weekend.
Sunday after church these two pooped out on the couch together!
Brooklyn always wants to bathe in Weston's tub. Here she is being a goof.
Holy Bed Head girl friend! Brooklyn has the all time WORST case of bed head, EVERY morning. It is the biggest rats nest you have ever seen. She inherits this wonderfulness from her dad.
Wade and his little buddy sleeping in on Saturday morning.
This is the Truckee River. We spent Saturday here trying to catch crawdads. Wade has been dying to catch them and had this master plan of how he was going to execute it. So we headed to the river and played for awhile. OH too bad it was horrible weather and the kids and I were miserable.
Brooklyn did have fun for the first hour.
We were totally cold with the strong wind, over cast sky and little bit of rain. When we left our house it was nice and sunny...hence our shorts and summer dress. Here we are bundled up waiting for Wade to finally catch a stupid crawdad. I don't do well in the cold dressed like this!
Here is Wade preparing for his big catch. He put meat in some cloth and then connected it to this cage. Then he strung a rope around it so he could lower it into the water.
Brooklyn got a little bored. Too bad the water was butt freezing. She couldn't even put her feet in.
Trying to get the sand out of her toes and feet.
For the first hour she was totally involved and helped Wade. It was so cute. The cutest part was that Wade was so excited to have her be a part of it. He tried and tried so hard to catch a crawdad to show her. Wade is the cutest thing ever.
His finished product. The bummer: because the wind was so strong it made the water ripply and Wade could not see through the water to catch one. After 3 hours he finally caught one. The bummer again: it was missing one of its craws and three legs! HAHA that is hilarious to me. He did bring it home and cooked it. Brooklyn thought the crawdaddy was funny and wanted to hold him.
