Today Brooklyn and I got up, got ready and headed to one of her little friend's 2 year little birthday party. She had a blast swimming and eating pizza! Brooklyn really loves being around friends these days and she has a few cute little girl friends, and a few boys we hang out with. Anyway...then we picked up the boys and headed 20 minutes away to Lubbock's corn maze. It was blazin' hot outside so we skipped the long corn maze part, but we did have have fun petting the animals, eating yummy roasted corn, and riding the cow ride. I think we are going to go back later in October to ride the hay ride which leads you to an area where you can pick your own pumpkin. I was talking to my friend on the way to the RS Broadcast tonight, that Lubbock has so many things to do for families. Lots of festivals, lots of random things...like in a few weeks they have a doggie show parade, and the dogs are in Halloween costumes. Brooklyn will absolutely love that! Anyway, Lubbock is a great place to leave for a few years!
Me and Brooklyn at the corn maze. I love that I have a child that is old enough to love all of these fun activities. Having a family is so great!

Brooklyn LOVED this little cow/tractor ride.
They had this mini corn maze. Brooklyn was not that impressed.
Checking out the animals. She loved them.
Here in Lubbock on the outskirts of town there are tons of cotton field farms. The plants are getting ready to be picked and are covered in cotton. Every time Wade and I drive by these fields we want to go and pick one. So we did today on the way to the corn maze. It was really fun! On the way back Wade and Brooklyn got out and picked one. She thought it was pretty cool!
