My Mom's visit to TEXAS

A few weeks ago my mom flew out to Lubbock to see us for an entire week. She wanted to get out here, see where we live, see our apartment, check out our ward, ect. It was awesome having her here. We did a ton of fun things. We even made a list of everything we wanted to do and we checked off all but two things. It was a wonderful visit, and I cried when she left. It is nice being my own little family here and but there is nothing like having amazing family members come to visit!

***She took this out of the window in the plane....cool huh?
We all got tickets to go to Texas Techs very first game of the season. We had a blast! We went out earlier that day and shopped all around for our Tech shirts. We all got one and looked so cute. Thank goodness we did because EVERYONE there had one on and we would have looked funny!
We tailgated with Wade's law school before. Tailgates here are a MAJOR thing. We smelt bbq the day before even! The fans here are crazy!
Weston was a very good boy the whole game.
See what I mean...crazy Tech fans all in red. None of us have been to a football game like this. The SF Giants stadium doesn't even hold the amount of fans that were present at this game.
We had great seats and the atmosphere was awesome. Now I am forced to watch all the Tech games every weekend, because Wade is so involved now:(
Brooklyn loved the game too! She kept saying, "GO TECH" and "Put your guns up". We passed the time with some big, yummy snow cones.
Oh funny story...towards the end Brooklyn was getting restless and it was almost over so Wade went and got the car. My mom and I were cleaning up the diaper bag and getting Weston into the baby bijourn. Well this lady in front of us says, "Um...should she be going down there?" Brooklyn had walked all the way down to the bottom. I went and got her and on our way up she sees this bag of pop corn on the edge of the bleacher and takes a handful and stuffs it in her mouth as I am holding her hand up the stairs. EVERYONE was laughing. She is such a funny girl!
My mom and Brooklyn in there Tech shirts. Yes...my w&d are in my kitchen with out a door...hate that!
While my mom was here we ate out a lot and got to show her some yummy local places here. The places to eat here are awesome. Reno stinks when you compare it to Lubbock. And the places to shop here are far better. We have a lot of cool boutiques, local stores and even some chain type of stores that don't even compare to Reno. My mom and I had fun discovering all of these places.
My mom and Brooklyn at this cute sandwich shop by campus. Brooklyn really loved having my mom here. It was so nice having help and being taken such good care of. My mom spoiled all of us. She made us breakfast every morning, cleaned my house everyday, totally decorated my down stairs, bathed my kids, and spoiled us as we shopped. Thanks mom...we LOVED IT!
We also went to the Tech pool with my mom. That was so fun:)
We went to this little fun quest type place. Brooklyn loved showing my mom around to all of her favorites!
My mom and Weston. So pretty much we shopped, ate, played, watched movies and fun tv shows, relaxed a little bit and really enjoyed being taken care of! We really had the best time!
This is craziness. Right before we took my mom the the airport we stopped by this sandwich shop and got some food before she left. While we were eating in there it started pouring. Within a half hour the streets were completely flooded. Lubbock is so flat so it doesn't handle water like this very well. Here are some students crossing the street. The street was level with the side walk. CRAZY!!!! We have never experienced anything quite like this before.

CRAZINESS!
***Well thanks momo for taking off work, leaving your family to be with us. We miss you:)

Whoa...you really think Lubbock has good food and shopping? You must've found some winners that i have missed. Or Reno must really have bad restaurants! We miss all our old favorites in Utah. You'll have to point them out!
