What a F*U*N and I am H*A*P*P*Y week

So this week has been fun. We have been busy almost everyday with one set of friends or the other. I am so grateful that I live here at this time in my life. Lubbock has been more than good to us. I was happy in Reno and loved (still love!) my friends there. 3 friends in particularly that will be life long best friends. But I absolutely LOVE it here in Texas. I have met some of the friendliest, most welcoming, nicest, cutest, most awesome people here. I really feel like my prayers have been answered in regards to me finding friends. I have really struggled in the past finding a good set of friends. I love that all of my friends have a child my kids' age. It is just so nice. And it feels so nice to be included, even though I am new. It feels nice to have friends who want to go out and do things all the time like I do. It just feels nice to be loved. We have been invited to a few peoples homes for dinners and bbq's. How fun huh? Anyway, I have been feeling extra happy this week and wanted to post about that. I am glad I have somewhere to write these things so I don't forget these things in years to come.
You Reno friends...don't feel like you have been replaced. I am just adding to my buddy list!
Ok...back to our fun week. I got off on a tangent. Sorry. Monday we hit up the Science Spectrum (sounds boring...oh but so fun) with our friends, who we really like. Tuesday we had a little play group with Brooklyn's little girl friends. Wednesday we did boring errands the whole day but ate a killer tbone steak for dinner. Yummy. Then today we hit up a park for play group, fun for Brooklyn and fun for me, as I chat.
So here are some pictures to go along with some things I need to blog about.
My kids have beautiful blue eyes.
Weston has started this week sleeping for 10 hours. YAY! He would normally go to bed around 10 and wake up any where from 430-630. Good...but still too early to be waking up. Now he sleeps in until 8-830 and so does Brooklyn. Thank you to my two very good sleepers:)
Weston loves me. I mean really loves me. Anytime I am laying on the bed with him he tries his hardest to move closer to me and snuggles right up against my body. Oh how I love it! He smiles at me all day long and loves when I pick him up. His body gets out of control with excitement. He is such a lover, unlike little miss Brooklyn who loves her daddy...which is adorable too.
He also is so fascinated by Brooklyn. Yesterday night as I was preparing dinner I heard them laughing together and playing around.Brooklyn can get him laughing and laughing. Can I tell you that there is no greater sound in the entire world than that?
Yesterday we had about two hours to kill, so instead of going home (boring) we headed to Target. We browsed every single department for anything on clearance. I came away with a pair of shoes for Weston for $3, a pair for Brooklyn for $6 and super cute tutu looking skirt we have had our eye on for awhile for $6, a $1 nail polish, and a few other random things. One of my favorite things to do is to clearance shop. I find the best things and so enjoy doing it. The best part is...Brooklyn loves it just as much as I do. She picks things out too.
The minute this cute girl turns 3 we are signing her up for dance class. She is SOOOO very interested in dance right now. She dances in the car all on her own and we will frequently find her dancing all over anytime there is music on. I have to say...she has got rhythm and some good moves. I can't wait to see her in a dance class! Anyway, we watch Dancing With the Stars...1. because I am a fan of the show, and 2. because Brooklyn is a Bigger fan of the show. She LOVES it. It is pretty cute because she insists on wearing some form of a dress. Any dress will work, but she has to have on these dress up shoes and has to have her tutu over the dress. Because the show is all partner dancing, she INSITS and I mean insists on having her dad dance with her to every song. She hates the talking in between the dances and she hates the commercials. Very serious dancer!

The other day she was talking about her friends here. She has about 4 little friends. She talks about them all day long. Well the other day I asked her about her friends in Reno. She talked about Kade and Tracen and how much she missed them. She asked to see them and hold them!! HAHA! So cute. She got a little love note in the mail the other day from Kade and won't put it down. She is frequently talking about Tracen and Kade and can't wait to see them in November!
Oh...we got called as Primary teachers. Shocker right? One bonus is that we will have treats to eat every week. I like that part. I do have to say that I enjoy teaching about the Gospel in simple terms because it refreshes my knowledge of the bible and BofM stories. Oh and this weekend is General Conference. I am so so so excited. I love hearing from our Latter Day Prophets. It always gives me a boast in the right direction.
See!!!! She makes Wade dance with her and insits that he wear this ugly, big, flowered hair band that came with the tutu. Wade is so great and gets up to every song and dances with her.

And my little buddy is almost sitting up. Before if you would prop up a pillow behind him he would fall over. But now he is doing pretty well without falling over and doesn't need much propping behind him. He is super eager to sit up too. If he is laying against the pillow he does like a little "sit up" to try and get up. Can't wait for the day that he can sit, it will make life for me so much easier.

Thanks for reading my post. I am sure only family will enjoy this one. Sorry.

I have a post about the Science Spectum I will post in the next few days.

We are so glad you are here too! I love how Lubbock bring so many people together, and we really do have a wonderful friendly ward. If you do move from your apartment, you CAN'T leave the ward!

I am proud to say that I (a non-family member) read the entire post. Yay me!

I tend to do long posts with tons of pics too and I hope that other people read mine . . . but who knows?
