Boo!!!

We have been sick this whole week. BOOO to being sick:( It is such a drag staying at home for 4 days in a row. We have all been feeling yucky, but today we have started feeling better! I need at least one outing a day in order to maintain my sanity. So today we headed to the park for our ward play group. That was fun. Then we headed to Subway because I have gift card there and ended up getting the whole meal free because their gift card machine was not working. Yay! I did feel bad though. Then we headed out shopping for some items that I need for some up coming craft projects I am going to be doing. Anyway, that is our day so far. Now both kids are sleeping and I should be getting my house back in order, since I have let it go this whole week being sick.

Enjoy some random pictures I have taken this week.

I have really had fun these last few weeks taking pictures of Brooklyn. Her hair is getting so long, and she is becoming such a pretty girl.
Brooklyn is obsessed with having things match. She even goes so far and at times wants to match her shoes to her hair. She has these yellow sandals that she matches to her yellow hair. She also has to match her hair bows to her clothes. Luckily for me, she has great taste and has a very tasteful fashion sense. She picks out her clothes and does a great job!

The other day Brooklyn tells me, "Mom you trust me and I will trust you!!!" Excuse me? Where did she learn that? Oh and today as we were shopping she was totally not listening to me, and I had had enough. I told her I was taking away her Tinkerbell costume and her tutu for the day because of her bad behavior. That did not phase her and she kept not listening. I said to her, "Brooklyn what else am I going to have to take away from you?" Brooklyn said, "Ummm..how about some of my clothes or some of my toys." What a little butt. Luckily, you look at this picture and you forget how naughty she can be.

One other thing I keep forgetting to journal about is how sweet Brooklyn is taking care of her brother. Every night she, all on her own, goes up stairs gets herself dressed for bed and always always gets Weston's jammies. She also gets Weston his baby food that I feed him at night. I don't even ask her but she takes it upon herself to take care of him. She also calls him her Chubby Boy. She loves playing with him in his crib too. One last thing that is my absolute favorite is when she, without fail every time, sings Weston Twinkle Twinkle when he is crying. She says that it makes him feel better. What a sweet girl!

My kids in a blurry picture with their Halloween get up on! Brooklyn LOVES when they are both wearing their Halloween jammies.
Brooklyn sporting her daily outfit; her Tinkerbell costume....but not today because she is grounded from it!

Oh I have been wanting to get something off my chest. I have felt a little insecure about my blog lately. I hope nobody reads this and feels that I think I have the most perfect kids, that my life is perfect and that I am perfect. I have been feeling like I am portraying that lately, and that certainly is not my intent nor is it at all true. I choose not to constantly document the negative things going on. Sometimes I do, but I try and focus on journaling the positive. I do have easier kids than some people, but they are extremely difficult sometimes. I have thought about not blogging as much as I do, or not state the wonderful things going on, but this is my personal journal and I am going to journal about our life, and if that happens to seem perfect at times, then I am going to journal about it. Ok...got that off my chest:)
Anyway, we have some really fun things planned this weekend! I love Halloween and plan to have fun with this Holiday until it is here and over! Then we get to do Thanksgiving festivities and then we move onto Christmas. YAY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year:)

I totally think that you should post about all the happy moments in life. Its what keeps us going right? Anyone who knows about law school should know that its not all happy but you don't need to dwell on that and make that one hundred percent public right? Brooklyn is getting to be such a pretty little girl...she is way to cute. I am glad that you are keeping her good looking because my boys won't be dating/marrying any ugly chick...ha ha! Do you remember when we talked about our snotty habits? Well I loved your update and that you "grounded" Brooklyn...too funny!
