Last Monday my friend Debbie and I took our kids to the Science Spectrum here. We had never been so we were really excited to go. We got a membership so we plan on going there once a week. They have different areas dedicated to different things. They have a sports and movement area, a sound area, a health area, an animal exhibit with tons of creatures unique to Texas, a play room with tons of different creative toys, and a few other areas that I can't remember. It is all hands on and very very fun! I am impressed that we have such a great place here like this. We were there for about a hour and a half and Brooklyn did not stop the whole time. She went from thing to thing and was over whelmed to say the least. I could not get a good picture to save my life because she was moving so fast. Here are some not so great pictures but I wanted my family to be able to get an idea of where we will be spending our days when it is yucky out side.
In the play room they have this area that the kids can put on a puppet show and there is a little tv that they can watch themselves in. And they have the same thing where the kids can do a news cast and can see themselves on the tv screen.
Here is the creature exhibit. It was really cool. Down in this same area they have a life size dinosaur that moves up and down...Brooklyn was scared of it here in this picture. At the same time she wanted to see it...but a ways back from it.
I think they were watching an animal show here? I can't remember because I was trying to take a picture, which obviously did not happen well. Oh and this is Ben, Brooklyn's little buddy. He is a really sweet kid and was a very good host, showing Brooklyn around everywhere.
She loves filling things with water so this water toy was fun for her.
This place has the coolest water works area. The kids put on this little blue cover to prevent them from getting wet and they get playing. Brooklyn runs to this area first. She loves it.
One part of the place teaches all about health. Here is a huge set of teeth that Brooklyn climbed around.
There is this little area that they pretended to cook lunch for us for a minute.
Here is Brooklyn and Evie watching the wood train tracks. There was actually this old man carving the trains in this room. How cool for an old retired guy to be able to that.
Me and Brooklyn...can you tell she LOVES me and loves to take pictures with me? Little stinker.

Love the post! That seems like a really fun place. Not what I was expecting at all!! Oh... I need some more pics of the two on my phone! So feel free to send me pics anytime! :)
Hooray! I'm glad you found our blog so I could find yours! Of course you can add me to your list. I just added you, I'm assuming that's okay. Are you on facebook too?
We love the Science Spectrum. It's about the only thing you can get a membership to in Lubbock, and I think it's totally worth it! :)
Callie feels the same about the dinosaur, she always talks about it and says "i need to see it" but when we get there she says, I don't want to see the dinosaur.
Its a fun place and brooklyn is so cute!
Super fun! You will have to show it to us in the Spring!
That was so fun! The pics are darling. Especially all the pictures of my butt :) We'll have to go again soon!
