Kindergarten

I am interrupting my chronological order of posts (I hate getting out of order) to post about Brooklyn's first day of Kindergarten. We are in Reno right now and will be probably until December. More on that in another post. Reno does year round school. I actually really like the idea of having three random months off rather then 3 in the summer. Anyway, she started school today and it was AWESOME!

We went shopping a few days ago and bought some cute back to school clothes and all her supplies. It was so fun! Today she woke up and she immediately put on her clothes and her backpack. She has PM kindergarten so she goes from 1240-320pm. She was all ready by 8am.

There are quite a few kids in her class that we go to church with, so that is fun!

Weston was so excited all day for her too. But then he got sad when we dropped her off. He wanted to go to school too. :(

It is so surreal for me that Brooklyn is at Brown School. I went there in 5th and 6th grade and remember sitting on this sign waiting for my mom to pick me up. Now my little girl is going to school there. Oh and I remember on back to school nights, going and playing in the kindergarten playground. So weird!

My friend asked me if I was going to cry. Nope. Totally not that kind of mom. I wish I were but I was more excited for her then sad.

A lot of kids were sad and didn't want there mom's to leave. Oh no, not my little Brooklyn. She waved bye and said, see ya later!

I still can't believe I have a Kindergartner. I mean, I remember kindergarten. How am I old enough for this business :)

Now I am just a mom that has a little girl that goes to school every day. Long gone are my free days with no plans!

She was so so excited!

When I picked her up she was so happy! She couldn't really tell me what they did but she told me lots of stories of what her and her friends talked about. Social girl that one!
