I started this post two weeks ago, but blogger wouldn't let me upload pics again. So I waited and now I can again. Blogger is seriously making me almost give up blogging :( Anyway, a few of these things are weeks old!
So many things are happening in my kids lives lately that are just too cute not to document.
The other morning as we were eating breakfast together, Brooklyn told me that she sees some kids that get notes in their lunch boxes from their moms. She wondered if I could send her with a note. How precious. I was sad that I had not yet done that, even though I have randomly thought about it. I just never remembered when I was actually making lunches. Anyway, I did the next day and she loved it. She said it was the best surprise :) This week Wade wrote her an actual letter (mine were just on a napkin). She read it at lunch and again loved it. After school she told me that she wrote him back. I asked her when she had time to write him back and she responded, "I wrote him back when I had snack time. I thought...YES! I finally have time to write a note back to daddy!" Seriously, what kid tries to find time during school, let alone snack time to write a note back to their dad? Brooklyn is so precious!
Her response is after the word dad.
This week Weston and I met Wade for Taco Bell for lunch. Weston ordered some cinnamon twists and a burrito. Anyway, we had to take the cinnamon twists in the car. As he was eating them, he told me that he wanted to save the last one for Brooklyn. He said it would make her happy. So he saved it in the bag all day. Later that day we went and picked up Brooklyn. She got in the car and was so excited because she had saved a surprise for her brother. I guess one boy in her class brought bday cupcakes that had a ring on them. She saved the ring for Weston. After Weston got his ring, he gave Brooklyn her cinnamon twist. They both exchanged little surprises that they had saved all day for each other. These two love each other more then I could ever have hoped for. They are best buds and definitely watch out for each other. Like when we are at my doctor appointments he always asks for an extra sticker for his sister. Brooklyn always asks for extra treats in Primary or at school to take home to her brother. So precious!Another tender little moment happened when I went upstairs to get Brooklyn ready for school. I had to wake her up but Weston was already awake reading books in his bed. When I went in his room he told me that he had checked on Brooklyn when he woke up. He said she was sleeping but that she was ok and he had given her a kiss on the cheek and then went back to his bed to wait for her to wake up. What a kind brother. And he is always like this. Such a tender, sweet boy.
Brooklyn made this sign all by herself and then posted it on the wall. She got sick of Wade and Weston throwing balls in the house. HA! So she posted this sign to let them know not to throw in the house!
Not the most flattering picture of Weston, but I wanted to throw it up here because of how cute it is that he is hugging this baby. He is so so so excited about his baby coming. The other day at my 34 appt the Dr let him use the Doppler and find the baby's heart beat. The Dr pulled up a chair, Weston got up and used the tool and found the heart beat all on his own. He thought it was the funnest thing ever!
Every one knows Brooklyn is made for motherhood, so she is so excited too. She knows how to out a diaper on too...to a real baby even. I am excited for that ;)
Weston on the other hand, does not! He tries though!
Ha! And then in true Weston fashion he gets so frustrated and doesn't know what to do with himself!
Anyway, that's about it! I have so much blogging to catchup on. I need to post a tour of my new house and base, my mom's trip here this last week, me being 35 weeks (ALREADY????) and all the other little things going on here.
