Quick little photo shoot

Every year since Wade and I were married we have gotten professional family pictures taken in the fall. And every year without fail we have sent out a Christmas card. Our first one was with the two of us and our beagle we had at the time. I can't believe 2013's Christmas card will have the two of us and three kids! Anyway, this year, for the first time ever, we have not had professional pictures taken because I didn't have a husband home at all this fall. Soooo...3 days after Wade got home to AZ, we had our friend snap a few pictures of us for our card. I definitely was not going to NOT send one out :) Even if that meant that we sent it out like 10 days before Christmas!
These are by no means professional, but I think they still turned out cute enough. I wanted our card to represent our new job(wade in his uniform), our new life in the military(the AF jet) and us living in AZ(the palm trees!). I thought it was the perfect idea :)
This was the picture used for the card. Unfortunately, Costco printed the picture way darker on the card. Oh well. I love this picture!

So now for a little update on us.
Wade is already busy at work. He actually has only been to work for a total of 5 days since he left Alabama. Between "unpacking days" they gave us when he got here to Christmas time off and New Years, he hasn't been into work. It has been soooo nice. He was back to work yesterday and has been busy ever since. He met with his first legal clients today and loved it. He is also already assigned 5 cases. He will have to be supervised, so not totally on his own(that happens in 5 months from now, he has to be certified first). Anyway, he is happy and ready to get going on being an attorney already.
I had a big ultra sound today. Being 32 weeks and having an ultra sound is super cool. We totally got to see this boy's whole face. He looks A LOT like Weston! I am carrying this boy really really small. When I went to Reno a few people mentioned how small I was and wondered if the baby is growing properly. That got me a tad worried but I made sure to verify that today and she said the baby is measuring exactly where he should. She did mention that everything was average size wise except his head!!! If you know my babies you know their heads are big and bald. No difference with this baby. She said, "Yeah his head is definitely above the average mark!" My poor kids :)
I am starting to grasp the fact that a baby is coming soon. Wade and I are definitely in denial that life is going to change so much. We have it so so easy now. Having a four year gap is great in a lot of ways, but not great in the way of us being so far from anything baby. It's like we are starting all over. We don't even have anything. We couldn't keep in in Texas because our apartment for three years couldn't hold all the stuff. So we are literally are starting over.

Brooklyn is still on Christmas break. She goes back on Monday and very happy about that. She loves her school. This break she has mastered adding numbers. She is great with basic addition. And she does it all in her head. She is also reading on her own. Simple books, but she is doing it! It's been so fun to watch her learn.

This is my favorite picture :)
Weston got a bike from Santa and has ridden it every day since Christmas. We have a park 4 houses down from us. The kids ride their bikes their everyday. It's nice. I let them go out and ride on their own and they play a little bit at the park. I either walk outside and check on them or they know that every so often they need to ride back and check in. This is one reason I love living on base. It's safe and on our street it isn't very busy.
Sick of the same type of picture ? :)
The kids have their own rooms and they are loving it. Weston will share with the baby. On New Years Day we decorated their rooms. They look so cute. Our next project will be to design our play room. Right now we just have everything in bins against the wall. Pinterest has given me some good organizational ideas. I can't wait to get started. We also purchased new couches! We get them tomorrow and I am so excited! I am changing up all my decor too. For the last 8.5 years we have had the red, sage, brown scheme. Now I am doing it all light. The couches are grey micro fiber and everything is going to be grey and cream with  mint and yellow thrown in there. I am really excited.
So that's about it. All is well and busy! We have been home a week and have not had a single day to play or relax. It's been so busy!!!
