Baby Ryan

This little Ryan is the best baby. I am so in love with him and CaNnOt get enough of him. Here are some pictures I have so far. I am sad to say that I definitely have the third time mom syndrome and have taken a like 1.5 pictures and haven't updated my blog in two weeks. That is so sad. Life is so busy right now! But here is an update!
His first bath. He didn't like it too much. For the first week of his life he cried if he was unwrapped from his blanket. He is so skinny that I think he was freezing! His circulation was poor too and his hands and feet would turn purple. Scared us at first but the Dr. said it was normal.
He loves having his head in warm water. He will be screaming and then you stick his head under and he calms right down.
Under the warmer :)
Headed home! I did not want to leave the hospital. I love staying in the hospital after having a baby. It's nice to recover there, be waited on hand and foot and to do nothing but relax. The minute we got home real life started and I got busy!
side note: I was purposefully standing :) No one wants to see a bunch of rolls.
The first week Ryan was a tad fussy. Nothing too bad but I was worried that he was going to be more difficult then my other two.But once I figured out his feeding needs and learned about him things changed. He was also waking up every three hours. Not bad but not great. Once the first week was over he completely changed and has become the easiest baby ever, following in his big sister and brother's footsteps.

SheShe and Gma Jenny with my THREE kids! I still can't believe I have three kids!
I love my mom and was so grateful for her help.
Let's talk about Wade. Best dad ever and best husband ever. I couldn't live without him. He was home for ten days on paternity leave and it was the best. He changed every diaper, woke up every single night with me to help me with Ryan, gave him every bath, plus did every thing for the other two kids. He is pretty attached to little Ryan too. He took amazing care of our family. We are so blessed to have him in our family.

Macy was here as well. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Macy has been at every one of my kids births and been such an amazing sister, friend and aunt. I love her. Btw...did I ever mention that she is leaving to Spain on her mission in June? What am I going to possibly do without her? My life might end :(

Macy has always been super great with my kids. My kids pretty much think she is the greatest thing to ever walk this earth. She taught Brooklyn some fun games including hang man and now she is obsessed with it...and wants to play it every five minutes...thank you Macy! ;)
For the first week of Ryan's life he refused a binky. And when I mean refused I mean he screamed bloody murder when you even tried sticking it in his mouth. Wade and I were worried for our lives. Our kids are definite binky kids and we were not about to change that. Binkies have been our lifesavers! So we were stubborn with him and wouldn't give up despite his freak outs. After about 1.5 weeks of us pursuing the binky like crazy determined people, he caved in and FINALLY took one. Now he takes it...not as much or as well as the other two did, but he definitely takes one. Wade and I refused to have a kid without a binky. :)
So about this picture. So he wouldn't take the binky but LOVED LOVED Wade's pinky. He calmed him down every time, and still does. He loves it and Wade absolutely loves it. One time Ryan refused the pinky and Wade was seriously beside himself in disbelief and confused at what was going on. Cute daddy!
So at two weeks he weighed 8lbs 3oz and really healthy.
Ryan is a GREAT baby. I don't know how we got lucky again. He never ever cries unless he is hungry, he is the sweetest boy, loves to cuddle, loves to look at you, and is the most chill baby...except when he is hungry. He is like his mamma! When we are hungry, you better feed us!
My good friend Sara Karrash made me this blanket and the CUTEST burp cloths ever. I get soooo soooo many compliments. I love good friends who are so talented and so sweet to make baby gifts. So nice. Thanks Sara!
Frog Legs. Love:)

So for the last week and a half, Ryan has been waking up just once a night to eat around 4 or 5am. It's so wonderful. He is breast and bottle feeding. Does great with both. He is awake more during the day which I love.
I am feeling so great. Recovery has been quick and easy. Life is great with three. I will say that I am struggling with being un-organized, not on time, and feeling so crazy busy that I am feeling crazy and whacked out. I think once life settles down (we have had family visits since he was born which has been amazing...more on that later) I will be able to handle this better. It doesn't help that I got called into the RS presidency one week before I delivered and this calling is kicking my butt currently :) One thing that makes me batty is being un-organized and feeling out of control. AHH. But I couldn't have asked for a better baby, and for a better recovery. Such a blessing :)
