Our blessing/farewell weekend was a whirlwind and very crazy! We flew in Saturday night which made it even more packed and crazier. It was really the only flight that made it semi affordable for us to fly as a family for Macy's farewell. Anyway, Wade left on Monday so his weekend was very quick. Sunday was Macy's talk in church and since we knew we were all going to be in Reno together, we decided to bless Ryan then too. Unfortunately the whole weekend I was there but mentally and emotionally I was not. My friend Yanira Maldonado was put in a Mexican prison the day before we came so I was so incredibly stressed, worried and I made myself physically sick over it. Thankfully all is well with her now but it made my weekend odd.
So enough of the rambling about who knows what! Here are some pictures of the weekend.
Can ya tell it was really windy and bright out! This picture is pretty bad. And it's the only group one we got. We had my entire family, grandma, aunt Tiffany, Wade's parents, Jake and Jentry's family. Wade gave Ryan an awesome blessing. The morning of we were fasting for Yanira but Wade included wanting to know what the Lord would have Wade say in Ryan's blessing. The overwhelming message in his blessing was that Ryan is from a special generation with a very special mission. He is to know his Savior and share the gospel. It was a beautiful blessing.
The blessing outfit we planned on having him wear(the one that Weston wore) got left in Brooklyn's back pack and left at the airport. So that morning I scrambled to find something. Thank goodness for a collard white onsie, white leggings and a bow tie! Poor kid :) And I totally realize that this is a hideous picture of me. But you know what....it is the only blessing picture I got of Ryan. I am sad about it, but I was too stressed to even think about things like making sure we got pictures.
MY two favs. Macy's talk was unreal. She inspired me to do so many things that I am not doing and strengthened my own testimony. I listened to her with complete amazement and awe. She is a pretty perfect daughter of God and is going to make an unbelievable missionary. Winter and I are lucky to have her as our baby sister. I am having the hardest time with her gone. More on that later.
I have the most beautiful sisters and they are just as beautiful on the inside too. Winter is moving to AZ soon and I couldn't be more excited!!!!!!!!!!
We had to take some last pics of the three of us. We won't be seeing Macy for 18 months.
The Heims ladies :)
Me and my siblings.
Anyway, the weekend was crazy but so good! I stayed in Reno for 2 more weeks after Wade flew home. It was fun spending time with Macy before she left. More to come!
