Albuquerque to see our Buddies

Last week was the Fourth of July and Wade had 1/2 day Wednesday and then the rest of the week off of work. The Military gives lots of "family" days before or after regular federal holidays. Anyways, we decided to meet half way with our friends from Lub. We hopped in the car and got on the road and headed to NM.
These kids deserve praises up and down. They are the worlds best travelers. Never a peep from them!
Our hotel there had an indoor water park. It was pretty awesome! Also the rooms surrounded an atrium that  had sliding glass doors that lead to the atrium. The atrium had a pool, hot tub and big tables and chairs. It was super awesome because our rooms adjoined the Oblad's room so we could put our kiddies to bed and hang out and play games on the table and chairs-and still hear/see into our rooms(longest run on sentence???). I can't really explain it but it was so awesome!
On the Fourth we ate lunch at Tucano's (really the only cool thing about ALBQ). It was delish. Then we headed to the mall to shop a little and let the kiddies play. Here are me and my cute red, white and blue kids!

Disney Store fun!
We ate at Calidornia Pizza Kitchen for dinner and then headed to see the fireworks. Maybe the best display of fireworks we have ever seen.
Friday we got up and headed to the zoo. Ok ALBQ did score some points in the eating and zoo department. The Zoo was crazy good! That is a polar bear in the back ground.
One of our favorite parts was watching these two elephants play in the water. They were so fun and messed with each other and played and really put on a show for us.
I always think of my Grandmama when I see these beautiful animals so I texted her this picture.
Seeing the Oblads' was so fun. It was so good to see them and spend a few days catching up. I love friends that you can pick up from where you left off. And I love friends that make an effort to see us! So so awesome!
Six kids 6 and under was a little crazy. Thank goodness for the water park that gave us something to do.
These two are soul mates. Wade loves Tim and they have the best time together.
Out of order pic but this was us before the fireworks.
Friday night we got some pizza, ate it at our hotel in the Atrium and then put the kids to bed and chatted for a few hours. Saturday we woke up, swam, ate at some local burger joint, stopped by the Gap and then headed home.
We will definitely make that trip again to hang out with them again! It was only 6.5 hours for us and well worth every hour and every penny!
