Part Two- Walks on the beach and visit to the dock

Quite a few times while we were at the beach house, we took long walks. The condo provided this awesome wagon, so we pulled the boys in it during our stroll. The property of this complex reminded me of being in Hawaii. It was breathtaking and I wished I would have taken more pictures of it.
Never seen two cuter boys in my life :)
Every morning we woke up to the waves crashing through the open windows. It was such a delightful way to wake up :)
Unfortunately, the weather the whole we were there was in the very low 70's. It boarder line- too cold to be wet. Despite that, we were super thankful we were escaping 110 degrees.
Brooklyn, Weston and Ryan have dorky parents ;)
One night we walked to the dock and watched the surfers. Wade is determined to learn to surf. Isn't there something so intriguing about watching people surf?
At the end of this looooong dock, there is a restaurant. We kept meaning to get dinner there, but it never worked out. We did, however, get some delicious shakes there one night.
What a fun life these three blondies have.
Sometimes after dinner Brooklyn and I would hop on the tall chairs, throw a blanket on and watch the sun go down.
Ryan actually stayed still long enough to enjoy it too.
The first real day we had there (Our first day was Sunday) we spent on the beach for a few hours. It was cold, windy, and overcast the whole day so we didn't last as long as we had planned :( Huge bummer. It actually ended up being the only day that it was like that- go figure. We skipped out on the sun screen which later proved to be a MASSIVE bad choice. We all got fried.
Wade took the kids boogie boarding. They loved it and were pretty good at it.
Ahhh...pure joy right there.
One problem with this sand- is that is was like glitter. It didn't ever come off. That was a major downside to this beach.
Brooklyn collected a lot of sea shells over the week.
Sand castle fun.

Weston's favorite beach activity, of course, was playing baseball. Heaven right there.

We didn't just get burnt that day. We got fried. To the point where Wade's whole HUGE back had blisters, Ryan's face blistered and Weston's nose blistered. It just seemed too cold and windy to worry about sunscreen. What a huge mistake that was :( And we paid for it. We planned on only leaving the beach to go to Sea World and Legoland. This trip was supposed to be a fun, relaxing, beach trip. Because of the severe sunburns we hid from the sun for a few days and only ended back up on the beach the last day. I'd hate to say it ruined our trip because we did have the most amazing time, but the sunburns, definitely put a damper on our trip.
