Wade asked me the other day why his hard work and coming together back yard has not made it onto my blog. Gosh...didn't know he valued my blog that much! So here is to Wade and all of his hard work lately!
This is the grass that is really starting to come up. Wade did this yard from scratch. He built the trenches, pulled the thousands of weeds, built the sprinkler system, racked the rocks out of the area, layed the seed, fertilized the lawn and now waters it. The minute he gets home from work he goes straight out there and manually waters it too! This is definitely his baby and he is very proud of his hard work. Brooklyn and I are more than impressed. I am so glad that I married a guy who can build anything, fix anything, and build a back yard from scratch. He is extremely talented!
The next steps are going to be laying the pavers for our patio and pulling the rest of the weeds. Next spring I will be planting trees, bushes and flowers along the fence. Our yard is pretty big so we are going to be excited when this back yard turns into what we have designed and worked so hard to achieve(well Wade's hard work!)
While I am on the topic of Wade, I should update you all on the rest of his hard work. Wade works in the Nevada Capitol building, in the Govenor's office. He is the Deputy Director of Legislation and also the Deputy Director of Boards and Commissions for Nevada. This just means he is SUPER SUPER busy! The legislative session is coming up in February and they have already been busy with getting it ready. His two big roles and responsibilities keep him very involved with the workings of State Government. I should also mention that he couldn't be happier with his job. He loves the Governor and loves time working for him and also being able to influence the laws and legislation.
ALSO...Wade is putting the final touches on his Law School Applications. He will be submitting them next week. He has gotten 3 FABULOUS FABULOUS letters of recommendation. We both couldn't be more happy with them. He is heading down to Las Vegas this weekend last minute. A few schools like, UNLV, San Diego, Uni. of Utah have been trying to recruit him so he is going to go down to Vegas to a Law School fair to meet with them. He also has a few schools that are waiving his app fee, which is really going to save us so much money! Wade is such a stud and I could not be more impressed with his application. It actually is pretty killer, if you ask me! We will keep you updated on how this weekend goes and the results of his apps! Good Job Wade, Brooklyn and I are your biggest fans and LOVE LOVE LOVE you!

Wait! You're telling me Wade has influence on state legislation? My mind is scheming at this very moment! What kind of cookies, cake and treats does he like? ;-)
Hey, that's pretty impressive to lay your own sprinkler system and then attempt seeding! He does seem like quite a handy guy. Good job Wade!!!
Good job Wade! I really like the backyard. That is so exciting about the Law School apps!
Can I just say that I am so not surprised that Wade is the guy who can (and does) do everything? He's awesome. I knew that long ago.
And we'll keep everything (fingers, toes, eyes, whatever!) crossed about the law school applications -- and prayers too. Keep us updated!
Good job Wade-does he do other peoples yard work? :)
