My New Ward

Yesterday we went to our new ward for the first time. We are in the Lubbock 4th ward. There are only 4 total wards in the Lubbock area. And 1 Young Adult branch. Anyway our ward is HUGE. We walked in and there were only seats in the overflow area in the gym open. Something that was very, very exciting to me was that the whole ward is made up of young families. There are tons and tons of young moms with kids my kids' age. We are one of MANY Law and Med student families. YAY! You can totally tell you who is here for school and who has lived here awhile. The families without an accent are definitely not from here.

So anyway...I wanted to post about my new ward because I was excited about it! Hopefully I can make good friends with some of these other grad. school wives.

Oh and as we were driving to church yesterday we were shocked to see how packed the other church parking lots were. EVERYONE here attends church. It feels like UT with churches on every corner. Except they are all Baptist churches. That is a crazy thing.

Ok. Bye!

O.K. So I was curious about you and I checked FB. The I realized I hadn't checked your blog. I love your town house,be glad with the size it bigger than ours was. I love that your ward and the temple are SO close, AND that your ward has young people. Yay! I am so excited for you and the adventures that lie ahead. Keep us posted.
It's funny that your ward and the temple share the same parking lot. That is exactly like Spokane Temple.

I am glad you guys made it safely! And that you are liking Texas:) There are tons of baptists churchs around here too. It is way weird. Can't wait to see more pics from the Texas Iverson's. Oh and yes we should come visit you! That would be fun:)
