So Sweet

Wow two posts in two days...I am on a roll.

I have to real quick document this sweet conversation Macy and I had with Brooklyn yesterday. I rarely document these things because I never think about it, but this one was too sweet.

So the other night Brooklyn for the first time was calling for me about 10 minutes after we put in to bed. I went in there and she told me that she was scared because the dinosaurs were coming. That broke my heart. Then she said, "I hold you, I scared." So I picked her up and explained to her that anytime she is sad or scared she needs to say a prayer to her Heavenly Father and talk to him about how she is scared. I told her that Heavenly Father would make her feel better and will make the scary things go away. Then I said a little prayer with her and put her back in bed.

Then yesterday Macy was in the bathroom in the kids room and Brooklyn was waiting in her room for Macy to come out. Brooklyn kept saying she was scared of the dinosaurs again (Macy could hear this from the bathroom). Then Macy heard Brooklyn saying, "Heavenly Father..." and walks out to Brooklyn folding her arms. Then Brooklyn said, "I am not scared anymore, I talk to Heavenly Father." Oh man that melts my heart. She totally understood the little lesson I was trying to teach her. And her faith was so evident. She knew that Heavenly Father would make her not scared anymore.

So sweet!

Oh, how I love hearing stuff like this. I know the little ones really do hear us and take things in - what a sweet lesson for you as a mama. And what a sweet little girl!
