Back to Business

We are now back and getting back in the swing of things. It is so nice to be back on schedule with naps and eating and life in general. I decided to break from our travel pictures and real quick update about some EXCITING things and some NOT SO EXCITING things. And I will throw in some random pictures of the kids to keep from boring me in 5 years when I read this;) And Macy will call and yell at me for not posting pictures...

First off- Wade got his grades in from last semester and without going too personal I will say we ARE VERY HAPPY and very PROUD of Wade. He is such a genius! He worked really hard and it definitely paid off! He was even able to be home by 3-4 everyday too. How he can pull that off will always amaze me! So VERY EXCITING!
Weston started crawling this week. YAY EXCITING!!! He tried and tried while we were in Idaho and got soo close. Now he is officially crawling:) It is just an army crawl, but Brooklyn never "real" crawled, so I don't think he will either. Crawling is crawling and I am just so happy because it makes my life so much easier now that he will be content on the floor .

Another EXCITING thing going on here is that I finally, after almost a year, got a full 8-9 hours of sleep last night! Weston is officially sleeping all the way through the night. Took him 8 months and being back in his own bed to do it, but I will take it!!! He was such an awful sleeper while we were away. Then the night we are back home he slept through the night and has ever since:) Wahoo!!!
We have been playing and playing with our friends since we have been back. It has been so much fun to catch up with all of our buddies. We really really missed Lubbock when we were away. It feels so good to be loved here since we don't have family close. We are very taken care of by all of our friends.

Unfortunately, when we got home we took our car into to a mechanic who confirmed what we were dreading and that we needed a new transmission. $2200.00 later plus the cost of a little Ford Focus we are renting, and that makes for a very sad Wade and Lindsay:( Luckily, the car is in such great shape otherwise. It really sucks only having one car and that one car being an older one. I actually do really love our trooper and am so thankful it has been a really good car to us for the last 5 years.
The last not so exciting thing is that Wade started school again today. Actually he is the one bummed about that...I was ready to have him go back to school!!! And I say that in a very loving way. Daddy's have a way of throwing schedules, rules, and routines out the door. And although we really did love our 4 weeks having him home and having the extra help during the day, I was ready to get him off to school. He really does love law school and was ok at going back. He will just miss his chances to sleep in past 6:20!
Oh and we took fat boy to his appointment and he is fat and happy and healthy!!! I will update about that once I take some 8 month old pictures of him!
