The Beach House

We now home, safe and sound back in Lubbock. Boy does it feel good to be back after 2 months of being away. We slept in our own beds last night...it was amazing! Brooklyn woke up to all of her toys that she missed. It was like Christmas all over again for her. She kept bringing in different toys all excited and asking me if I remember them. We had a few minor road bumps coming home like: A 7 hour plane delay that we were not expecting, a car that would not start due to a dead, cold battery, a frozen hot water pipe and absolutely no food in the house! Even with all of that, we are so excited to be here. Brooklyn and I even have already gotten in a play date with one of our favorite friends, and we haven't even been home for 24 hours! Gosh, I love being home:)

I have over 100 pictures from our Christmas at the Oregon beach house. I have kind of been putting it off because there are so many pictures, but I need to get this documented so I have chosen to separate it into different posts. Here are just pictures of the GORGEOUS beach house we rented out for 3 nights. It was absolutely heavenly!

Here is the down stairs area. Two bedrooms were also down there that us and the Youngs' occupied.
Jentry's families bedroom. Ours was the same, just different colors.

Here was the view from the deck.
The garage and the ping pong table. Here are Chris and Augie playing and John and Wade sitting watching.
The beautiful kitchen. I am bummed that I didn't get any pictures before we started unloading, but I thought of it too late. Oh well, you can still see house awesome this house was.
Here was our beautiful homemade Christmas tree. The tree was real but the ornaments we made. My SIL, Wendy, is incredibly crafty and creative and thought of all these cute things to make for the tree. Jena had mentioned that she wanted it a beachy theme(very fitting!) so Wendy got sea shells, birds, ect for us to decorate with! Me, Wendy, Jentry and JaNae all sat down one night and made them.
Here is the living room.
Dining Room.
Here are the two girls looking at the ocean from the balcony. What a GORGEOUS view. I think it is cute how they are using the teddy bear to look over the wall.
And here is a day view from the third level of the home. Pretty sweet beach house huh?
I didn't take any pictures of the rest of the house, but it was all beautiful. The house had 5 rooms and 11 or 12 beds. One room that Wendy and JaNae's families slept in was so huge that two queen beds fit in it. There were also 3 separate areas with TVs. This house was just incredible. We decided that we have to rent it again as a family. It was a perfect way to spend Christmas all together.

The beach house looks wonderful! Reminds me of one we rented down at Port Aransas a couple of summers ago -- so fun! Family time like that is awesome.
