She went to Clairs and...

Got her ears pierced!
Last week she asked Wade and I if she could get her ears pierced. Well actually she asked me and I told her to go and ask her dad, thinking he would say no. Sure enough, he said absolutely if she really wanted to get them pierced. We told her it would hurt a lot and that she would cry and she was totally ok with it. Wade wanted his mom to take her while she was here in TX. So we all went last night to Clairs and got it done.
Before. She was so excited.
And after :)

We told her she needed to be brave. So as the first one went in she tried so hard not to cry and kept this permanent tense smile on her face. Poor thing was trying so hard to hold back tears. Then the second ear was pierced and she tried again so hard to be brave but couldn't fight the tears. Still kept the smile on her face. She even said, "I am trying to be brave!"

When the lady gave her the mirror she did give a big smile but could barely see them because she had so many tears.
So after about 5 minutes or less, she was back to her clear blue eyes and LOVED her new earrings. She said they didn't hurt at all anymore, and that she thought she looked so pretty in them. Oh and she mentioned again about how brave she was. The lady also said she was so so so good for how young she is :)
SHE LOVES THEM! I am sooooo glad we waited until she wanted them. This was so fun for her. She picked out the diamond daisy pair. She looks in the mirror constantly and thinks she is so pretty. And she loves when I clean them. She thinks that they are healthier when they are cleaned. Cute girl.

Such a big girl Brooklyn. But I think the mom was a bigger girl. I pierce them young because I don't think i could handle watching them go through it when they KNOW whats happening! So linds takes the brave award!
