Birthday party, bike parade

Saturday night was Brooklyn's party. I had the idea that because we were giving Brooklyn a bike for her birthday, it would be fun to have a bike parade party. We invited all of her friends and asked them to bring their bike decorated for a parade. We had it at Brooklyn's favorite park. We bbq'd, played, did the little parade and opened gifts. The HUGE, GIANT, bummer???? oh just like it being the Windyest day in Lubbock in 2011. I hate the Lubbock wind, and I was devastated that it was so windy for her party. Luckily, the show went on...not at all had I planned, envisioned, and wanted, but it turned out ok. Here is a picture recap of the party!

All the kids getting ready for presents....Brooklyn's favorite part of the party! Love this look. He enjoyed his cupcake :)
Bike parade. I had a cute of idea of how I was going to decorate their bikes, but the wind ruined all my ideas and their bike/car looked hideous...but it didn't matter!
All the kids lined up.

These two were inseparable, it was super cute. We even caught them holding hands at one point.

Brooklyn and her cute friend Hattie.

Thanks to our friends for coming! We have such a good group of friends here! And...Happy happy birthday miss Brooklyn!

Looks like you had a blast! What a fun idea for a party (especially since she was getting a bike) - sorry about the wind. I hate Lubbock wind too! Your family is darling!
