Brooklyn's 5th Bday party

Here are tons of pictures of Brooklyn's Birthday party today. We did an Easter theme with an egg hunt and breakfast. Nothing could have gone better. It was the perfect party.

These two woke up so excited for the party! Well more Brooklyn then Weston. Weston was a little angry that it wasn't his birthday party ;)It was a little chilly right at 9 so Weston wanted to snuggle in a blanket!
We had the party at 9am this morning. Definitely early but we wanted every one to be able to be home for conference by 11. We did a breakfast and I thought it was perfect. Perfect weather (because you never can be sure in Lub), and yummy breakfast food!Brooklyn's birthday is actually April 6th but we did the party this weekend because next weekend we have lots of Easter festivities. Fun to celebrate two weekends in a row!
Lots of kids! And lots of kids ready to hunt some eggs! All the kids were so good.
Brooklyn is the same every year. So mellow and not competitive about finding eggs. She definitely tries to find them but is just so mellow about it! Funny girl!

I guess Weston and James booked it to the blanket after the hunt to start munching on the candy. I think Weston is the opposite in situations like egg hunts :) He is a go-getter!
We are so blessed here in Lubbock to have so many good good friends. We have never had this many friends and it is so wonderful. We had around 42 people there. At first I thought we were crazy for inviting so many people, but it was actually perfect. Brooklyn loved having so many people there!Tim took this random picture, but I wanted to include it to show how flat it is here! I miss the mountains!Brooklyn got a gift card to Claire's and she is excited. She knew exactly what it was when she opened it too!Present time! Brooklyn got spoiled and that is an understatement! She got AMAZING gifts. Most of which included, Hello Kitty and Barbie! These were part of the goodie bag. I saw these bunnie cup cakes on Pinterest and asked my talented friend Ally to make them. They turned out so cute! And the little basket carriers I got on Oriental Trading and they were cute holders.Brooklyn and Kate. She actually wanted to invite a few more friends from school but I told her we could only invite Kate since I know her mom. I always feel awkward about parties Brooklyn is invited and I don't know the parents. I would feel so weird and awkward. Anyway, we had plenty of church friends to invite. But I am glad we invited Kate because Brooklyn likes her!
Camera died after this family picture and it's the best we got!
These were the goodie bags. Pretty cute and simple. Brooklyn wanted candy in them. Easter/birthday=tons of candy!
