Disneyland Day 1

We just got back from a seriously fun time at Disneyland. We spent three whole days there and it was the best three days ever. I personally think my kids are at a super fun age to enjoy Dland. That place has some sort of magic. It's truly the happiest place on earth. Here is our first day! Picture over load too...
First stop was It's a Small World. Talk about Magic. B&W LOVED that ride and ooh and aaahd at every little thing. Their faces the entire ride were priceless! Notice their hair was cute, styled and down. Yep...that lasted about one more attraction and then the hair went up in a pony tail for the rest of the trip!
I remember It's a Small World from when I was Weston's age. It's so fun to relive this place with your own kids.

Both my kids agree that Small World was one of the most favorites. We rode it twice and never waited more then five minutes.
Right after we waited for Toon Town to open (it opens an hour after the park does). We went straight for Mickey's house. 3 years ago we were there and waited over an hour to see the famous mouse. This time...maybe 10 minutes! On the way we ran into Goofy! Brooklyn had been before but this was Weston's first time at Disneyland and seeing his first character was pretty fun for him.
 Pure love for Mickey!
Macy and I tye-dyed all of our shirts so we could be cute and matchy! We got lots of compliments :)
Then we walked over and saw Minnie.
Then went through her house. Here is her bed :)
First roller coaster and the KIDS LOVED IT!
The princess line is always a really long one so we headed over there just after it opened. Princess Tiana even spoke with a New Orleans accent.
Ariel was kind of lame and boring. All the other princesses talked to the kids and hugged them. She just stood there for a picture.
Belle was BY FAR the best "character" we met. I will post a video at the end of these posts. Kids Loved her and she spent some good time talking to the kids.

Nemo was a fun ride and the kids loved being under the water in a submarine.
Autopia! Brooklyn got to drive it and she thought it was about the coolest thing ever.
We stayed in a hotel down the street from Disney. Thankfully it was close enough that we could walk there to avoid a shuttle/parking fee. So we would wake up each morning early, get ready, go down for some breakfast and walk over as the park was opening. We also packed lunches for each day and just found some where shady to eat. They let you bring in food which is nice. We let the kids get little treats while we were there though. It's so fun to eat churro's and things like that!
After some lunch we headed back for some more things on our "To do/see list". Both kids loved Tinkerbell land but couldn't understand why they didn't get super small.

Wade was so fun and easy going the whole entire time. Some times he becomes ultra frugal when it comes to buying a soda, ect at a park when he could get it at the store for 5 bucks cheaper. I warned him that this was a big vacation and we were going all out (in an inexpensive way if that makes any sense). He definitely went all out. I was more of the frugal one. We did pack lunches and snacks and water to cut huge costs!
Oh I forgot to mention that we took Macy along for the fun! We love having her with us and will be sad the day she gets married and can't accompany our every vacation. She has come on a lot of trips with us and we love it!
Nothing better then this castle. This was definitely one of Brooklyn's favorite places.
Check out this Aladdin. Is he a little toooooo perfect? He is like the real thing. It was crazy! Kids loves both of them. Weston asked them where Aboo(sp?) was they both tried looking for him with the kids. It was cute :)
Prior to this trip I researched a bunch of tips and tricks on Pinterest. Multiple blogs mentioned Dole Whips as being a MUST EAT! It was a 15 minute wait to get one but OH MY GOSH....these babies were worth every minute and all $4.29 I spent. It's pineapple softserve-ish with real pineapple juice poured over. Pure heaven right there :)
So the first day we did every single thing at Disney that we planned on doing and I think our longest wait was maybe 12 minutes. It was awesome. We even had time to do some random rides like Pinocchio which ended up being Weston's favorite ride(weird kid:)

We ran into the parade that was so fun. Kids totally LOVED it!
Wade really wanted to do the Star Wars ride so we fast passed it and got right on. It was actually super cool.

 Ahhhh the famous tea cups.
BUZZZZ! One of Weston's favorites.
At about 7 we headed out of the park and headed for some dinner. Dinner inside the park is just too expensive. So we headed to Red Robin down the street and Weston passed out on the walk over. Poor buddie was completely wiped out.
After dinner, around 9pm I took the kids back to the hotel to get to bed at a decent hour and Macy and Wade went back to Dland for the FUN rides. They stayed until the park closed. They had a blast. Then we were back up early the next day and headed for California Adventure. We had three day hopper passes and it made for TONS of fun at both parks! More soon :)
