Captain IVERSON

Wade got promoted to Captain last Friday. He was a 1st LT and now is a Captain. Every thing in the military is about traditions and formalities. Promotions fall into those categories like everything else. We were planning on having family come out for this because it was going to be right about the time I was going to have my baby, but I knew couldn't put it together days after having a baby. So we opted to have no family there and keep my mind sane :) Although, it totally stressed me out anyway having to plan it all.
Two cute little court workers!
This is Wade's SJA Lt. Col Cluff(his boss). We love him. He and his wife have been so wonderful to us. I can't remember what was going on here. Some formality in the ceremony.
It is actually a "pinning" on ceremony. Lt's have one bar to show their rank on their uniform. Captain has two bars. So Weston was in charge of pinning on his 2nd bar on his hat. And that is quite a belly in the back ground. :)
Brooklyn pinned a bar on his collar. I did the other collar.
I really wish I had smoothed out all the shirt layers I was wearing because it's all bunched and I look even bigger. But that's not the point of this picture :)
It was an honor to Pin Wade. He is the best guy I know and the Air Force is really lucky to have him.
His boss gave a nice little speech about Wade. He said so many kind and wonderful things about Wade. Then Wade gave a little speech all about me and his family. He even got all choked up when talking about me. It was sweet. We are definitely a team in this life and it was nice to hear him say nice things about me and how much he loves me.
Cutest Judge I know :)
Before we even came to Luke I new that I would have to put on a celebratory event for Wade and his entire office. I had all these great plans. I love hosting things. But let's be honest, it just wasn't going to happen being 37.5 weeks pregnant. The ceremony was in the morning so we just did some simple breakfast type items. Donuts, Einstein bagels, fruit, cream puffs, OJ and bubble. Every one seemed to enjoy it. It was a great morning celebrating Wade. I love him so much and can't wait to see how well he does in this career. So far so good. :)

Oh and I could not post the family picture we had taken. Nope...I looked so scary, I scared myself.
