There have been so many things lately that I am just loving. Life is so quiet and east right now. Two weeks from today (or sooner) life is going to be Ca-RAZY! Wade and I are both having a hard time even thinking about it. Ha. We are excited at the same time though.
So for journaling purposes and in no real order here are some things I am loving!
*The Bachelor- Yes still the biggest fan of that awful show. I have watched it for 10 years strong now! Sean is making this season very enjoyable :) I watch it with a group of girls on my street. I do really really miss my Lubbock Bach friends :(
*Picking up Brooklyn from school everyday is so wonderful. She is the cutest little Kindergartner. She loves school so much and always has so many cute stories. And she is always so happy after school.
*My kids unload the dishwasher. I love it. Little things like that for me right now make me happy at 37 weeks. Brooklyn (prior to braking her elbow) also washed all the dishes. She just started one night all on her own and loves it and if I even start the dishes she gets sad and wants to do them.
*The kids love to help me cook. It is actually more annoying than it is helpful, but I love my kids close by me and we all enjoy cooking dinner and listening to music while we cook.
*The weather in AZ right now is so gorgeous! We play outside after school a lot. It's usually in the low to mid 70's, which I think is pretty much heaven. I bought some cool outside chairs from Target the other day and I put them out front. I just sit in the sun, read a book and watch my kids ride up and down and play at the little park at the end. It's so wonderful.
*I am loving my house. It's so roomy and I feel so organized. The apartment life always, always had me stressed out about all the clutter and I always felt unorganized. Having more then enough room for everything makes me so happy I can't even describe it! And my house is always clean. Love that so much!
*One thing I cannot get enough of is watching Brooklyn read. She is full on reading now and can read just about anything. She still has to sound out a lot of words of course but she can read and write and it's so so cool. I was telling my mom the other day that watching her learn and grow in this way is one of the coolest things I have experienced so far in motherhood. In this picture she is doing her homework and she LOVES it.
Every night before we go to bed we go in and check on the kids. Recently Weston has been picking out his outfits for the next day after we turn off the light. It is seriously the cutest thing ever. He lays it all out and then hops back in bed. I seriously look forward to this every night now because I think it is so darling. Another thing I am LOVING is how self sufficient these two are. We set Brooklyn's alarm for 715am. Usually I go up there a few minutes after and help her get ready. But the last few weeks I have been sleeping in a few more minutes then usual. When I head up there at like 723am...Brooklyn is usually already dressed for school, gone potty and in the middle of doing her hair. Most of the time she even has her bed made. And...Weston is the same way. He is all dressed and ready to go. This helps me out so much and I love both of these kids for being so helpful and independent.
*Brooklyn leaves me sweet little notes everywhere. Here is my to-do list for last week and she got ahold of it and wrote, I love you mom. Every time I find a little note, I die with happiness. She is so so sweet and so tender.
*I love Pinterest. I am definitely not addicted and a lot of days I don't even go on. But I have made some seriously delicious meals from the recipes I find. I think I have probably made at least 10 new meals recently and all but one were amazing. I love being able to feed my a good variety of yummy meals. My kids ALWAYS tell me that they love the dinners I make. I also Love Pinterest because it has really gotten my creative mind working and I have done so many cool things from things I find. *I am loving Wade's job. Mainly because he is so happy. And I love watching him succeed. He had his first trial the other day and got major praises from the judge and his bosses and others in attendance. He is so flippin busy though. I think he has 7 trail cases right now that he is working on. Two are his very own cases. Anyway, he is loving it and I am loving watch him start his dream job.
*I am loving that Wade bought a truck. We have had one car for about 1.5 years now. Being in school it was fine. But it was time for Wade to get his own car. He has client interviews all over base and sometimes off base and it became a huge problem that he didn't have his own car. Now this truck is a 1983 Chevy silvarado. It's so huge and so loud and so old. But...it was paid for in cash, has 30 thousand miles on a rebuilt engine and is clean inside. So it works. And it's so nice to have a truck that we can pick up big things or take stuff to goodwill or have it to help someone. But I make him park it down the street in the extra parking spaces because it being in our drive way woke up my kids in the morning. That is how beastly it is! I will have to post pictures of this beauty ;)
*Today I am loving our Air Force Insurance. We took Brooklyn in to get a cast and a bunch of meds and I realized how blessed we are to have free insurance. We pay zero. I even got a whole bottle of children's Tylenol from the Pharmacy for free. We don't even pay out of our pay check. One HUGE blessing to being in the military. My baby whole pregnancy and labor will cost us nothing. SUCH A MAJOR BLESSING!
**So those are the things currently on my mind today that I am loving. But...there are plenty of things I am not loving. Life is not all great and wonderful all the time at the Iverson home. But I want to document the positive things going on and remember those things. We have our fair share of rough days, disobedient children, arguments between us, tempers, ect. But on the most part we are happy and life is good!
How about that for a lengthy post!
