Big Bed

Here she is sleeping in her big girl bed. Sound asleep right away!
This is Wade listening for her after we left the room. He is such a sap...but we love him!

Yesterday for some reason I decided that Brooklyn was going to sleep in her big girl bed. During the day we cleaned her room really good and I started really talking to her about her big bed. When daddy got home she showed him her bed(even though it has been in her room since August). She then talked about her big girl bed all night long. When we went to my parents to help with wedding stuff, she talked about it t everyone there too! Guess she was excited! When we got home she ran to her big bed, we got her ready for bed, said our family prayer, we tucked her in and she asked for some of her animals and a baby. I told her that in the morning I would come in and get her, she said ok, but looked a little nervous. She then fell asleep 10 minutes after laying quietly in her big bed.
She did wake up at 4am and cried a little bit and I immediately went in there. She was standing next to the door crying and I just put her back in bed and she fell back asleep! She was such a big girl!
Wade and I were kind of sad last night when we left her room. We cannot believe that our little Brooklyn is old enough to not sleep in her crib anymore. She is growing up so fast, we just can't believe it.
Nap time today was a little rougher. She just kept getting up and playing. So I put her back into her crib for nap time. I think we are going to give it a week or so of just getting used to sleeping in her bed at night.
We also now are on the hunt to find some cute bedding!

That is so great. I am so envious. Hopefully it keeps going well.

That picture of Wade is so cute. Totally PRICELESS!!! Camden wanted to sleep in a big boy bed at 18 months. I had a really hard time too because I don't want him to grow up!!!!

What a big step. Naptime was a tough one for us, too. Now, we call it "quiet time". Jackson can play or sleep (and usually he falls asleep on the floor). Congratulations! You are smart to make the transition before the baby comes. Shanna
