Brooklyn turned 3 today. How can that be? I am not sure, I just know that the last 3 years have been the best of my life and I am glad we got to celebrate her life today! She was interesting to say the least today. A combination of being over tired, spoiled, overwhelmed and excited made it for a little bit of a rough day. I tried my hardest to make her day special and I think I did. She spent time with her two best friends and got everything she wanted: presents, shopping, pizza, coloring, park time, treats, and her family! There are tons of pictures and so I decided that I would document all of my favorite memories and favorite things about her to go along. Oh thanks, Chelsea and Debbie for helping me make her day special:)

Nana got her this dance outfit and she wore it to bed last night( she opened it a night early because Nana wanted her to watch DWTS in it). She is such a sweet heart and I absolutely love her!

I love how this girl comes to find us after her nap or in the morning with her blanket over her head. She doesn't take it off until we recognize her. I don't' know why she does it but I laugh every time. Just a quirky thing about her that gets me every time.

Brooklyn is very into dancing and singing so this little mp3 player was a perfect gift for her. She is seriously a good dancer. She moves her hips a little
too good and even sings good too! We are putting her in dance class this fall. She will have so much fun. She even talks about it everyday.

I think we all know this about Brooklyn, but she is super fashionable. She is trendy, cute, stylish and just plain AWESOME. She loves to accessorize her outfits, loves jewelry, and knows what works and what doesn't. She has an opinion on what she likes and dislikes, and I have to say that most of the time I agree. This girl rocks in the fashion department.

Today we got together with Callie and Chelsea and went to Clay Cafe'. We made a plate and it was so much fun. She loves to color so this was perfect for her. Her and Callie did a great job on their pottery.

Brooklyn is tender. Many times throughout our days together, Brooklyn will come up to me, crazy squeeze a hug, and tell me how much she loves me. Or she will tell me that she is proud of me, or that I am so beautiful, or she'll just say how happy she is. Gosh, that could never get old:)

Brooklyn is happy.all.the.time( usually :) ). Rarely does Brooklyn have bad days. Sure she sits in time out a lot, but on a regular basis she is just a dang good kid. How I got a easy girl, not sure, but I count my blessings!

I was thinking the other day that I am so glad Brooklyn is the oldest sister. She is a perfect example to Weston most of the time and I am grateful that Weston has her to look up to. She cares for Weston and truly loves her brother. She takes amazing good care of him and I think she may even be ready to babysit him ;)!

She knows who her Heavenly Father is and who her Savior is. That above all things, is the greatest blessing. She really knows who to pray to, who comforts her and who makes her happy. She always says that Heavenly Father makes her happy and that He makes her feel better. I pray that that testimony will always stay with her...and I bet it will.

She is busy, crazy, busy and more busy. Not as busy as her brother but she is still busy all day long. Lucky for me, she does like movies and TV so I can get my stuff done, but she is a busy girl. Just like me so I love it!

Brooklyn has said for the last 2 months that she wanted a pony kitchen. She saw it in a catalog and ever since has said she was getting it for her birthday. Mom and Dad definitely didn't disappoint. She even screamed when she opened it!

Ben and his family met us for dinner and some Mr. Gatty's play time. She AbSoLuTeLy loves her friends. They are the center of her world.

She is bossy and has a little attitude. She can't help that she is the oldest and a girl!

Brooklyn is 100% a daddy's girl. She looks up to her dad and admires everything about him. She would spend every minute of the day with him if she could. She chooses him over anybody. They have a special bond that I hope stays that way.

These last photos are awful. I tried to get her to take some pictures today. She was not acting like a very nice girl and these are the results :(.

Brooklyn is honestly beautiful. She has this shinny blonde hair with big blue eyes. Gosh, she is just beautiful.

She is sensitive. That can be good and bad. She kind of is a drama queen too. Makes things interesting I guess!

A fun little fact: Brooklyn can still fit into 9-12 month pants. Of course they are way too short, but her waist is so little she fits into Weston's pants! HAHA, seriously this girl is tiny. Tall and skinny is
never a bad thing huh? I think she is going to be a knock out!

Brooklyn is FUNNY! She makes us laugh everyday. She also remembers EVERYTHING.

Brooklyn is a pleasure to be around and is a very entertaining. She is a very needed part in this family! Can you tell how much I love her?

Brooklyn is enrolled in pre-school for the fall. She will go Mondays and Wednesdays. 6 hours a week. She is BEYOND excited and we are too. She is already super super smart and very advanced for her age. I think this is a good opportunity for her to grow even more. The Doctor says she is a year ahead for her age. I agree. She is mature and very smart. I think pre-school is going to be so fun for her.

Last night I got so emotional about her 3rd birthday. As I went into their room to put the covers back on the kids before I headed to bed, I bent over Brooklyn and rubbed her eyes. Then I just kept staring at her. I looked at every detail of her pretty face and kissed her sweet cheeks. Her beautiful sleeping face took me back 3 years ago on April 6th. I remember when she was first handed to me and how she just starred at me with those big eyes. She had her fist over her mouth and she looked into my eyes for a few good minutes. I cried and cried last night as I kissed her over and over. I kept thinking as I was balling like a baby, "How is my girl 3? How did I get blessed to be her mom? How come she is so perfect? How can she really be mine for Eternity?" Ever since that day 3 years ago, she has been the most perfect daughter. She is my best little friend. My relationship is unique with Brooklyn. She is independent, but needs me. She looks up to me and at the same time is her own person. I know she loves me and I am totally in love with her. Happy Happy Birthday my sweet little Brooklyn.
P.s. I did not get through that post without crying either ;)
p.s.s. If you made it this far...thank you:)
