Macy came to Texas

Macy came all the way from Reno to stay with us for 10 days! YAY. It was so so so fun. My sister is one of my most favorite people in this world and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy she got to spend her spring break with us. We did a lot and at the same time didn't do a whole lot! We just enjoyed spending time together. My kids absolutely love her of course! The kids were on perfect behavior the whole time and really enjoyed having Macy here! I enjoyed the extra help too! Here are some highlights from her trip.

We found this YUMO place by the University called Spoonful. Gosh, I think we went there 3 times in like four days! It is super cheap and SUPER yummy. It is exactly like a U-swirl in Reno. Macy thinks we have better flavors though. We stopped by Spoonful on the way to the airport yesterday.
Macy was here for Brooklyn's birthday party. That was fun! Glad I could have a family member represented at her party. Macy got Brooklyn some Tinkerbell pop rocks. They had fun with these.

Wade and I went out to dinner last Friday to Olive Garden and the kids and Macy stayed home. They made dinner, cleaned up the house(thank you Macy) and then made a fort to watch a movie in. She is by far the BEST baby sitter ever. It makes me sad that I am not in Reno to take advantage of her being able to watch my kids.
Wade and I went on a bike ride one Sunday night and Macy took the kids out of a ride too. Weston loves this thing and Brooklyn loves her scooter.
HAHAHAHAHA! I highlighted Macy's hair blonde. It was quite the experience. I have done it before but it has been a few years. In the middle we ran out of color and had to send Wade to the store for more. Obviously that was a problem since one side of her head was already processed with color and the other side had no color in it. So we washed out the parts that were done and left in the parts that were just colored. We put the garbage bags on the parts that needed time. Talk about a stressful situation. Weren't sure if it would turn out ok, but thankfully it turned out so good! Refer to pictures below for the end result!
We took Macy to Brooklyn's pre-school. We wanted to show her where she would be going in the fall. It is a pretty cute school.
Brooklyn more than loved showing Macy the classroom.

And this was the result of us leaving. She kept saying, "But I am three years old. When I am three years old I get to go to school!" We always told her that when she turned three she gets to go to school. So she didn't understand why she couldn't' stay! It was sad.
My friend recommended Rudy's BBQ. Yummy. Totally Texas and totally yummy. We also ate at a few other good places that I had yet to try as well. Pei Wei's, Rudy's, Spoonful, Chick-fil-A, Bahama Bucks, Free Birds Burrito. We also made some of Macy's favorite dinners that I make. We had a yummy time eating!

We had two photo sessions too! Brooklyn got her three year old photos done with my friend Kendal and we also got a spring picture done with the kids in their Easter outfits.
I will post them all when I get them back from both places.
Prior to Macy coming we had high 80 degree weather. Unfortunately, Macy brought the gross Reno weather with her to Texas. It was over cast and raining (for 4 days straight) the ENTIRE time she was here. Ughhh, oh well. At least it was still warm.
Macy and I got some serious crafts done. We made this tutu. It turned out so cute and she loves it!

We made these adorable head bands.
And how about these cute flip flops. We bought the Old Navy 2 for 5 dollar flip flops and made up the rest! I am in love with them! I still need to make some for Brooklyn.
We made these cute flower clips. I love them when I wear a pony tail of my bangs up! Or on the side of my head. Brooklyn wears them too.
Another cute head band. We also took her to Hobby Lobby, the Science Spectrum, and a few other stores that she doesn't have in Reno. We even spent some time with all of our friends. She got to meet and get to know some of Brooklyn and I's closet friends. She thinks we have great friends here!
Awwww I miss Macy. I cried all night long after she left. I just wish I lived by my sisters. I am fine when they aren't here, but when she(anyone) comes to visit and then leaves I can't handle it. It makes me so emotional that I am so far away and don't have the money to see them very often. That is the ONLY thing that has been difficult about being students again.
---Thanks Macy for spending your spring break with us. Please come again soon:)
