lots of talk

We have been home a little over 2 weeks now and I am just now recovering. I don't know what happened. I barely made it out of bed each day, hardly went anywhere(which is un heard of for me) and I really wanted to go back to family. First time that has ever happened. Usually by 3 weeks I am itching to get back to Texas. But for some reason this time was different. I think maybe it was because my kids are old enough to really know the meaning of family and it was sad to see them missing their family. They played so well with cousins, loved being with grandparents and enjoyed their aunts and uncles. I too felt those same things.

Anyway, I have had a hard time re-adjusting to life here after being away for 7 weeks. I also think part of it was the fact that we have one more semester and I see an end in CLOSE sight and that makes me want to be done! Before it was always...3 more years, 2 more years but now it is a few months.

I LOVE living here in Lubbock, I love my friends and I LOVE my calling...and those things are what makes life so good, and I don't want to be anywhere else right now.

The other day I saw a picture of a family at lake Tahoe the other day on Facebook and I almost cried. I really wish I had had a few more weeks in Reno. I miss my family :(

Anyway, I wanted to journal about that for a few reasons.

We tried potty training him. He is clueless about it. So we will wait until he is ready. He did LOVE this buzz/woody/nemo/cars undies. Although he said a few times that he wants his "buzz panties"....no no no, that will need to be fixed asap. Can't have our boy referring to his buzz undies as "Panties".
