We got home last night around 2am. That was not fun! We ended up having a 14 hour drive home turn into a 17 hour drive home because our GPS kept taking us strange, out of the way routes. It was terrible. But...we are home, and unpacked! Our kids didn't make one single peep the whole 17 hours. Incredible kids those two!
We were sad when we came home to no plans for the 4th. Lubbock is in a serious drought, so no fire works here. Lucky for us, our friends Brittney and Sam called this morning and invited us over for dinner! We were excited to see them after 7 weeks of being away.

This girl can put on make-up like a professional. We are missing Reno, btw. I really need to live by my family.
While we were in Reno we were able to double date with our good friends the Edwards. We went to Sushi and had a great time chatting for a few hours.
This kid wore his tube and swimmies for like an hour. He watched a whole movie like this!

So glad you guys made it home safe! Sorry your drive turned into 17 hours - that is NO fun, but I'm amazed at how good your kids are! LUCKY! Can't wait to see you in about a month!
