Day One with Aunt Macy!

It's Macy, Lindsay's sister. I am here in Texas babysitting Brooklyn and Weston while Lindsay and Wade are on a cruise in the Bahamas! To say that I am excited to be watching Brooks and Chunnie boy for an entire week is an understatement! I was given several  instructions while being here and one of them was to blog every single night about what we did that say so when Linds wakes up each morning she will be able to see what we did the day before since she will have no cell service. Its only day one and I am already realizing how overwhelming blogging is! Sorry Linds for always nagging you about updating your blog, I now understand when you say it takes forever and its overwhelming!

Anyways, after dropping you off at the airport on Thursday the kids and I headed straight to Target for them to each pick out a toy. Chunnie picked out this soccer net and Brooklyn picked out this princess coloring/activity book that is practically as big as she is. We came home and set up the soccer net and Brooklyn opened her coloring thing and we played for quite some time with their new toys.

(See that pair of scissors? I think that is Brooklyn's most prized possession right now;))

Brooklyn was so excited for this activity book because it came with her very own pair of scissors (they are the kind where they only cut paper and nothing else). Right as we were about to start making dinner the Oblads called us and invite us to go to McDonalds for dinner and to play at the play place! Thanks Oblads for inviting us:) We had fun! It was funny though because you know how Brooklyn is, her most favorite place in the entire world is Mcd but from the second we got there she kept coming up to me and whispering in my ear that she wanted to go home. I was so confused by this until finally towards the end she told me she wanted to go home so she could play with her knew scissors and princess book:) Haha. What a cute little girl. But, we got home too late and I had already promised Chunnie that we could have a movie night before they went to bed. So, they each got these little sprite bottles and a candy and we watched Diego!

Haha I have also realized that I am absolutely horrible at estimating how long it will take me to get myself and both kids ready for anything. At about 8pm, when the 2nd episode of Diego was over we started getting ready for bed and I thought, perfect, kids will be in bed by 8:15 and then I will have 45 minutes to watch an episode of army wives and get in bed by 9 ( I am so tired! For some reason the first few days I get to Texas I am always a zombie. It's only 1 hour time difference but it always kills me!). Needless to say, it took way longer than 15 minutes to get ready for bed so an episode of army wives was definitely not watched! :) Lol.

Next up... Soccer clinic and Brooks finally gets to play with her princess booklet!

(All of these posts were scheduled for this morning and for some reason this one posted last!)
