(ugh! none of these pictures are where I had planned on them being!)
Today was such a fun day! The kids were great and
we just played the whole day! We woke up early this morning to Weston jumping on my bed saying "It's time for my soccer game, it's time for my soccer game!" Linds signed the kids up a few weeks ago for this soccer clinic thing. Brooklyn was so sad to have to go to this soccer class and finally again I got it out of here that is was because she just wanted to stay home and finally play with her princess activity book. Haha I guess that was a good present to give her! Chunnie on the other had was bouncing off the walls this morning because he was so excited. He kept yelling that he was so excited to play in his first soccer game! Haha I love this boy. I put Brooklyn and Chunnie in their jerseys that Uncle Reilly gave them from Argentina and they thought that was so much fun.
About 5 minutes after we got there Brooklyn ran over to me and told me she was so happy to be there and that she was having so much fun already. Too bad Chunnie didn't feel the same way. Poor little guy is just too competitive and did not like the other boys kicking it in the goal instead of him. But, the drills before the game were great and both kids were so good! Chunnie is definitely a natural athlete! All of the parents kept commenting on both of them but especially Brooklyn and were saying how great they were. Brooklyn was brave and volunteered to help the coach demonstrate a drill.
Here they were learning "busy feet then kick!" It was so cute to watch all of the kids try and do each drill. Brooklyn had this one mastered, and so did Chunnie by the end.
The only bummer part about this clinic was that the coach was a little too strict and at the end when they got to play a scrimmage they couldn't just play. Every single time the ball was kicked out of bounds (which was no joke every single kick) he would run in the middle of the kids pick up the ball and start all over. All of the other parents were getting frustrated too because the kids couldn't just keep playing so they didn't really have the chance to learn that a game is continuous and what not. It was kind of annoying and Chunnie definitely did not like it either! They were so cute though with their little pennies on. This one dad kept saying, "woah look at number 3, she is so great! She really knows what she is doing. She has some real talent!"
Brooklyn and Chunnie both volunteered to be the goalies first. Brooks seriously rocked at it and didnt let a single ball get past her.
Chunnie on the other hand was not so fond of this position. He kept saying, but I just want to run and kick the ball like those other boys! Thankfully, they rotated positions frequently!
(This was Chunnie's face the whole time he was goalie!)
Here are a few more random pictures of Brooks and West playing soccer together after the clinic was over.
After the soccer clinic we headed home and Brooklyn finally got to play with her princess activity book. She cut out and colored all sorts of things for probably two hours. After naps (I watched Army Wives:)) we headed out to Walmart to buy seeds that we are going to plant tomorrow and then to Sams for some pizza. Then, the Oblads came over and we played the Wii until bedtime!
Right after we said prayer and as I was tucking the kids in bed Brooklyn told me that this was the best day ever and that she is so so so happy I am finally here in Texas. Man, I love these two kids! They are so fun and SUCH GOOD kids! Chunnie loves to be tickled and Brooklyn love to be my "tickle helper" haha. Plus Brooklyn loves all of Taylor Swift's songs and the new Kelly Clarkson song Stronger so we have been singing and dancing to those songs all day long (and every few "gor" songs, we would turn on Chunnie's Buzz songs) :)
