FIRST BORN QUIZ

1. WAS YOUR FIRST BORN'S PREGNANCY PLANNED? Yes. I really wanted a baby and Wade was not on board. He didn't think he was ready. Then when it happened he got right on board and was more excited than I was.

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Yes thankfully:) We were married 3 years before Brooklyn came. I think 3 years is a perfect time!

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? I took 3 pregnancy tests with no one around and I thought they all came back negative. Then finally when I was 2 weeks late I took another one on a Saturday morning and it looked negative again so Wade and I were confused. Then he told me to get the directions out of the box. We looked at what should be a positive result and sure enough, all the tests I had taken were positive! They were just such faint lines that I thought otherwise. Once we looked again at the test we for sure new we were pregnant! Then we got SUPER excited and called all of our close friend and family!

5. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? I had an idea I was before even taking the tests. I had to pee way more often than normal and in some areas I was more tender(TMI???). I refused to take a test until I was 2 weeks late!

6. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? Wade and I found out together then he called his mom and dad and I called Winter first and then my mom, dad, Macy and Reilly(they all lived together) then I called one of my best friend's Teri Boland.

7. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? I am WAY too anal to wait! There was absolutely no question that we would find out.

8. DUE DATE? My due date was April 20, 2007.

9. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? I guess I am a lucky one that has never had morning sickness. Thankfully I have never experienced puking everyday for three months!

10. CRAVINGS? Yes! I craved whopper Jr's from Burger King which is odd because we don't normally eat there. I also craved donuts at work. Then when I was on bed rest I craved cereal.

11. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? Watching the stretch marks come and then watching them grow. Irritated was probably too light of a word to describe them. I HATED them!

12. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Girl. Wade wanted a boy but I knew right from the beginning it was a little girl!

13. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? No, and when Wade found out it was a girl he didn't want it any other way. Now that we are soon to have both, I am so glad Brooklyn came first.

14. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? I think 45.

15. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? Yes. I had 2 in fact. Sariah and Teri threw them for me:)

16. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? I knew

17. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? You name it I complicated it! It started with preterm labor at 27 weeks, followed by excessive hypertension, preclampsia was supposedly on the way, and 11 weeks of full on bed rest.

18. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? Renown Medical Center right here in Reno.

19. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? I was induced starting on Thursday evening but they did not break my water until 10am on Friday. Then I hung out for hours. The BAD contractions came and lasted for 3 hours straight. The anesthesiologist was in multiple c-sections, so I had to wait. Those 3 hours were bad. Then I finally dilated enough and pushed for an hour and a half. So I would say I was in "labor" for 4 1/2 hours.

20. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? ME! I was 2 weeks early so no one was expecting it. I went to my regular Dr's appointment that day and I guess my blood pressure had spiked high( a sign of preaclampsia) so she sent me right to the hospital and said we were having the baby! I then called Wade and he left work and came right over. So I just walked up to the labor and delivery floor and told them I was there to have my baby! They laughed and then checked me in:)

21. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Wade, My Mom, Macy were the ones I invited. Jena would have been but she was coming a week after the baby was born. But I also had the nurse and Dr. Omar, a nursing student who wanted to wanted to watch since I was a "unique" case(being on magnesium for preaclampsia) the respiratory guy and two NICU nurses who needed to be there for the same reasons the student did. My room was PACKED!

22. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? Natural

23. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Epidural. I think going without is unnecessary, but that is just me:)

24. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 6lbs 8oz. Then when we left the hospital she weighed 6 pounds even and weighed that much for the first 3 weeks. We almost had to hospitalize her. Then she didn't weigh 10 pounds until she was 3 months old. She was honestly in preemie clothes until she was 3 1/2 months old. Just a little peanut!

25. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN ? Exactly 2 weeks early. Born on April 6, 2007.

27. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN? She is a month away from turning 2!
