Getting Ready for Vday

Brooklyn and I totally enjoy Holidays' whether it be Christmas or Valentines Day. I have felt semi creative this week and decided to make little Valentines gifts for a few special people. Also Brooklyn and I checked out a Valentines book last week. I heard her reading the book in her own way and called Valentines Day, "Happy Day". So this week she has referred to the upcoming day as Happy Day. I don't know where she got that from, but it is so cute. We spent yesterday and today looking for Valentines ideas and gifts. Every time I take her shopping I ask her what we are shopping for and she says, "For Happy Day". So there you have it...we are getting ready for our Happy Day:)

Here are the little gifts I made. They are soap and hand sanitizer bottles that I decorated. I know it is small and insignificant but I thought they were cute!
Tonight Macy came over and we decorated Happy Day cookies. Brooklyn just wanted to eat the dough, so we turned on a Redbox movie we got her and let her be. Guess she snuck a bag of chips and helped herself to them while watching Madagascar. Also, a little story. Today we were in line at Walmart and Brooklyn was showing this adorable grandma behind us her minni book that I was going to buy her. The grandma thought she was so adorable and showed her this little pink dog she had in her basket. Brooklyn fell in love with it and was such a ham; the grandma could not get enough of her. She asked if she could buy the dog and the minnie book for Booklyn. How stinkin' sweet is that? Brooklyn was so happy:) That little act of kindness towards my daughter totally made my day and definitely made Brooklyn happy. When you ask her why she got the dog she says because of "Happy Day!"

Here are the DELICIOUS cookies we made tonight. I cannot really eat a sugar cookie unless they have red hots on them, so my cookies were covered in them:)

ALSO........

Wade got a phone call today from the Director of Admissions at Valparaiso Law School. He informed Wade that he was ACCEPTED! This school is in Indiana so very far from both sides of our families. We have to wait until we get the official letter in the mail to see if there are any benefits for attending this school. If not, probably won't we attending there...then again if there are...we just might be going(probably not though since Texas Tech is a way better school and we already got in there with a huge scholarship.)

***I also wanted to say that I share this info on my blog only because this is my journal and my way of keeping record of important things like this. We would normally just share this with family and friends, but Wade and I both want it documented so we can look back on this. So if you think this is a bragging session, don't visit my blog for the next few weeks:)
