We had such a great Easter today. I love holidays, especially ones centered on my Savior. I am so grateful His work, His sacrifice, and His love for me. I am so grateful that I am able to teach my children the gospel of Jesus Christ, what a blessing.
We started off the day with Brooklyn coming into our room. As she did, I told her that the Easter Bunny came and there was a basket waiting out in the living room for her. She got excited and begged her daddy to get up and go with her to get it. So cute:) I am bummed because I tried using my video camera to take pictures(my camera is dead and I do not have batteries) and unfortunately it did not work:( She found her basket and immediately started singing Happy Birthday! So cute:) She got a swim suit, nail polish so I could paint her pretty toes, Madagascar, a barbie movie and some flip flops. Of course there was candy too! She LOVED it and wouldn't put the Easter basket down. She carried it everywhere before church.
Then we went to church. Of course it was great. We came home and got a fun surprise at our door. We pulled up and saw a sign on our door that said, You've Been EGGED! We are pretty sure our cute friends did it! Down on the floor mat there were eggs filled with candy. Brooklyn went absolutely CRAZY! She loved it! We got her a bucket and she picked up all the eggs and as she did, she ate some candy. Then she would dump all the eggs out and pick them back up again. So Cute:)
Around three we headed over to my parents for a family bbq. I bbq'd some really yummy salmon. Yum. We had a great time eating, laughing, playing Mad Gap, eating ice cream and letting Brooklyn entertain us with her singing and cute play!
Here are some pictures from our afternoon at my parents. Oh...we dyed Easter Eggs last night, just the three of us. So fun this year with Brooklyn involved. Again, I wish I had thought of batteries, dang it.
The whole entire day she sung happy birthday. I think she thinks that these kinds of things are Happy Birthday days. Too cute...and this picture of her is too:)
Here she is on a little Easter egg hunt we did for her in my parents back yard. She had so much fun finding the eggs all over.
Showing off her goods. After she found all the eggs she started hiding them all over again:) What a cute girl.
My mom got her a little Easter present; a swim suit and some flip flops. Thanks Mom (She She)!
For Brooklyn's bday, Macy got her a sprinkler Nemo thing. We brought it over and let her play in it. She had SO much fun. We CANNOT wait for summer....bring on the warm weather:)
Playing with some warm water.
Aunt Macy painted Brooklyn's toes. My daughter is obsessed with getting her nails painted! What fun to have a little girl.
